Last night our youth squads swapped the usual drills for bibs v non‑bibs in a full set of fun, fast and competitive rugby skill games — all designed to challenge the kids, build confidence and remind them why rugby is the best sport in the world.

The energy was unreal, the competition was fierce, and the smiles said everything.

This is the start of our 2026/27 recruitment push, backed by our Development Officer Jack, who’s already out in the local schools introducing rugby to the next generation.

If your child wants to run, laugh, compete, make friends and be part of something special — Penicuik Rugby is the place to be.
Season 2026/27… we’re ready.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to all the club members who helped yesterday. It was an amazing day for the club - in and out of the clubhouse. Great to see lots of Penicuik strips mixed in with the crowds and even better to see the clubhouse filled and hear the pipes and drums playing.

Special mention has to go to Robbie for pulling everything together with the bar and the H&L party and Gav Stephen for organising the float and the troops to man it.

Too many other people to mention but if you did anything to help in any way then please accept our heartfelt thanks. As we keep saying, the club is a huge family and something we should all be proud to be part of. I lost count of the number of people who commented on how great our club is which just makes me burst with pride. Seeing people laughing and smiling and enjoying our hospitality all day and evening just puts the icing on the cake!

The clubhouse is OPEN straight after the Hunter & Lass parade — and we’re inviting the whole community in to celebrate with us.

A huge congratulations to Aaron & Katie, this year’s Hunter & Lass, and to Brodie & Darcie, our brilliant Junior Hunter & Junior Lass. You’ve all done the town proud Penicuik Hunter and Lass
