The new unique Gyro rod is in development - super high 40 tonne carbon, with a Gyro wrap at critical stress points. This gyro-wrap stops rod blank warp on the cast (standard rods do not stay pin-point straight like this), so the Gyro ensures an incredibly accurate cast; while the unique hollow quivers show-up the most sensitive of takes.

A total step forward in rod technology, it is exclusive to Feva, with models starting from around £200. We expect they will be available by early next year, if not sooner.

Feva's Matt York came out on top at the Messingham Sands Summer Festival, with a total weight of 1,430lbs over 5 days.

"Day 1 - Peg 2 Swan. Simple day. Bomb to the corner, wag and bomb in front and short pole. Rotating lines on the bomb and a few late on the wag and short. Ended with 340lb for a section win! Day 2 - Peg 4 Islands. Caught early shallow on the pole and on the bottom underneath. Had 120lb in first hour and half. Then rotated bomb on the sand bar and pole to end up with my PB on islands which was 396lb 😳 This also ended up being the weight of the week and won the section.

"Day 3 - Peg 38 Swan. Mugging first 2 hours for 140lb then short pole to the tree last 2. Ended up with 309lb. Which won the section again! Day 4 - Peg 53 Islands. A peg I really didn’t want. Shallow peg especially with low water levels. A numbers game. Losing usually just as many as you land. Committed to 2 lines pole to the island to the left which was good initially. Had maybe 30lb 2 hours in and was miles behind the rest of section. Ended up filling the bomb line in and catching steady till a ridiculous last 50 mins where I caught 90-100lb. Another section win!

"Day 5 - Peg 10 Swan. Not a good draw. Been a horrible area all week. Top 3 all in a line - me, Ryan and Neil. So was game-on time. Ended up struggling for 3 hours just picking up odd fish and some silvers until the last 1.5hr when they rocked up on the long pole. To end with 172lb and another section win! 😬 Ended the week with a perfect 5 points and total weight of over 1430lb 5oz."
