🏆 Player Awards 🏆

Coaches’ Player – Danii Poulter

A brilliant performance from our captain, leading from the back and setting the standard for the whole team. Danii showed fantastic leadership throughout, keeping the team organised and leading us to a great win. An outstanding performance from our captain! ❤️💙

Players’ Player – Vic Fegan

Four tries, legs for days and an absolutely brilliant performance! Vic was unstoppable today, making metres all over the pitch and showing exactly why she’s such a threat with ball in hand. A well-deserved Players’ Player! 🏃‍♀️

Opposition Player – Jo Dawson

A special mention to Jo who stepped in to help out the opposition in the final two minutes after an injury left them short. In true Jo fashion, she was more than happy to lend a hand after supporting her team with water for 68 minutes and help the game finish on a positive note. Always putting others first and showing what rugby is all about! 👏

🏉 Match Report: Ashfield Ladies vs Long Eaton

Full-time score: Ashfield 71–12 Long Eaton

A fantastic performance from Ashfield Ladies, securing a brilliant 71–12 victory over Long Eaton!

The game started with a try from Long Eaton within the first five minutes, giving us the wake-up call we needed. As Tom had asked us to do, we reacted positively and got straight back into the game. From there, we found our rhythm, scoring try after try and putting in a dominant attacking performance.

Our forwards were excellent, working in pods and producing some great scrums. The backs were constantly making moves, creating opportunities and keeping Long Eaton under pressure. Everyone was rucking brilliantly, frequently winning the ball back and giving us plenty of attacking possession.

Although our defence is still something we can improve on, it got stronger as the game went on. Our main focus was on attack, and the scoreline certainly shows how successful we were!

Try scorers:

* Vic – 4 (2 in each half)
* Kat – 1
* Leanne – 1
* Chloe – 1
* Abbey – 1
* Liv – 1
* Danii – 1
* Bec B – 1

Leanne added 3 conversions, with Jackie kicking an impressive 4!

A special thank you to the two ladies who came along to support Emma and Jackie. It was great to have you there!

With 24 ladies representing Ashfield, it was a brilliant turnout and a fantastic team effort from everyone involved.

Overall, a game full of tries, great attacking rugby and plenty of fun. A massive well done to all the ladies for a brilliant performance! ❤️💙💛

Dad & Lad! ❤️🏉

Yesterday, Nick & Zac played their first rugby game together! A special moment made even more special by Nick having the pleasure of sharing the pitch with Dylan & Bull, two lads he’s coached since their Under-13s days.

A proud moment for Nick and one that will hopefully be the first of many rugby memories together! ❤️
