All the best to Charlie & Jacob who head off to GENSB in Switzerland. ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ญ

They will be competing on Saturday, against 42 other teams from mainly Europe but as far as Canada! Have fun and go get it lads ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป

GENSB is an annual junior tug of war club competition that is held to give juniors aged 12- 18 inclusive an opportunity to experience international competition with flexible rules that allow mixed gender teams to compete with between 7-10 pullers within a weight limit of 560kg, and if using female junior pullers in a team, each team gets a bonus allowance of 10kg per female up to a maximum weight limit of 600kg.

NATIONAL LEAGUE CLEAN SWEEP! ๐Ÿฅ‡๐Ÿฅ‡๐Ÿฅ‡๐Ÿฅ‡

Today we travelled to the National League Finals near Loughborough, hosted by Melton Mowbray Ladies Tug of War Team. This was the last of the a domestic competitions before we head out to South Africa for the TWIF World Championships! ๐ŸŒ

We started the day once again winning the 600kg, rounding off a great performance over the season ๐Ÿฅ‡

Next was the 640kg, finishing on even points with Lincoln TUG of WAR which was enough to secure a second gold of the national league ๐Ÿฅ‡

The last menโ€™s weight was the 680kg, although only weighing not much more than 600kg we battled hard for a third, which again was enough to get a third gold! ๐Ÿฅ‡

We finished the day with the 4x4 alongside Bedford Ladies Tug of War. Being todayโ€™s winners left us on even points with Lincoln TUG of WAR, which meant a pull off! After a tough two ends, we were pleased to pick up a forth and final gold medal! ๐Ÿฅ‡

Today we were more local, attending the Far Western Area championships at Offwell. ๐Ÿ™Œ

We started the day with a tough 720kg, although very light weight we snuck through without dropping an end ๐Ÿฅ‡

Next was the 600kg, we were a lot more at home with this weight, winning again๐Ÿฅ‡

Again we found ourselves rather light in the 680kg, but came out on top ๐Ÿฅ‡

The last menโ€™s weight was the 640kg, after some tough ends we won๐Ÿฅ‡

We finished the day with the 4x4 along side Combe Tuggers ladies, completing the day with a fifth๐Ÿฅ‡

What an Amazing weekend Anstey had in Cork at the British and Irish Championships! ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช

We started off with a Gold in the 600kg closed representing England ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ๐Ÿฅ‡๐Ÿ†

There were 10 teams competing from Wales, Scotland, Ireland, Northern Ireland as well as England. We got through the group without loosing an end, meeting Ireland A in the semi and then our fellow English team in the final. Thanks to Ian from Lincoln for pulling with us ๐Ÿค

The open saw us enter both the 560kg and 600kg ๐Ÿฅ‡๐Ÿฅ‡

The 560 was split into 2 groups, we topped our group meeting Killylough in the final winning our first open Gold ๐Ÿฅ‡

Our second open weight was the 600kg, again we topped our group meeting Norton this time in the final. After a tough 3 ends we came away with a second open Gold ๐Ÿฅ‡ Cheers for Brandy for joining us ๐Ÿค

Some of the lads then joined Bedford Ladies Tug of War for the 4x4. After a shakey start they made it through to a bronze place pull off against Cornhill from Scotland, winning the medal ๐Ÿฅ‰๐Ÿค

Jacob, Charlie and Harry won a whole host of medals with the Juniors ๐Ÿ…

Hattie, Elsa, Jess & Sophie also won gold, silver and bronze medals in both the closed and open competitions in the senior ladies ๐Ÿ…

Yesterday the Young farmers lads headed up to the YFC Nationals held at Tenbury Wells Show!

They didnโ€™t drop and end all day, meeting some strong teams throughout the day. This makes it a record 4th consecutive win now! ๐Ÿ†

Next week the team head over to Cork for the British and Irish Championship ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช
