Club rides 14th June: Two rides leaving from the Badger Box this weekend. One ride ti Southwell with the steady group and the second out to Tuxford. Details for both rides below 👇

1. This is a nice steady ride all welcome lead by the Super Graham. He’s not planning a cafe stop as needs to be back early

2. This ride is heading out to Tuxford circa 60-65miles at an average of 15-17mph. There’s a planned cafe stop at Chilli Petals.

Tomorrow ride we’re going to adventure across the flatlands to Bottesford. We’ve had a few weeks in the hills of the peaks so it’s time for a nice flat ride.
Looking forward to seeing plenty of you out in the morning.

Ashfield RC is pleased to confirm that the club has now successfully re-affiliated with British Cycling for 2026.

The committee felt it was important to maintain our affiliation for a number of reasons. As the national governing body for cycling in the UK, British Cycling provides important support and structure for clubs like ours, including governance guidance, safeguarding support, club development resources and access to the wider cycling community.

Affiliation also ensures that the club benefits from the appropriate insurance cover for officially organised club runs and activities, giving reassurance both to the club and to members participating in them.

The committee would like to thank everyone for their patience and support whilst this process was completed.

Incredible turnout at the Badger Box this morning with 16 riders out. We split into two groups with one group of 6 heading up Highoredish and dropping down to Darley Dale for a cafe stop.
Whilst the other 10 riders headed off on Scot’s magical mystery tour of some of the finest lanes en route to Carsington Water for cafe stop before coming back over the brutal Alport Heights climb.
Safe to say neither group quite managed to avoid the rain… but good job skin is water proof! 🚴‍♂️💨

Hope to see lots of you out next week on what should be a sunny bank holiday weekend 🤞
