We are deeply saddened as a community to hear of the passing of Barrington Pitt on the 16th May 2026.

Barrington proudly represented Nottingham Rugby between 1975-1978 and will be remembered as part of the club’s history and by all those who knew, played alongside, and supported him.

A real pioneer of his time, racking up nearly 40 appearances for the club, Barrington was one of the first black senior players to play at county level.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends, former teammates, and loved ones at this difficult time.

Rest in peace, Barrington.
