In addition to adding outfield players to our 9 a-side SBYL 2016 squad we are also looking to add a goalkeeper.

With 2 training sessions at Londonderry Park there is also a 1hr specific goalkeeper training session which is optional each week.

If you have a child that may be interested in a new challenge why not contact us, bring them down and see if they enjoy it and would like to further their development with us.

2016 Colts SSG Summer World Cup
Few changes to the team today with some players away to a 9 aside tournament in Portrush with the Rangers team. We started off against Bangor Swift’s Ladies. Joshua opened the scoring after some good work from Freddie. Joshua turned provider for the 2nd with Micah getting on the end of a great cross. Micah grabbed his next with a good strike from distance and James finished off the scoring after a wonderfully struck ball that fell to him at the edge of the box.
Next up was Holywood, after some nice football we found ourselves a goal down but the boys rallied really well when when Parker broken through the defence and smashed it in at the front post. The comeback was complete when a quick kick in from Leo was poked in by Joshua.
We then played Sirocco in a thrilling game in which both sides could have had a few goals but it was Sirocco who found the net with the last kick of the game.
The last game we played Holywood again, tired legs set in and we found ourselves 2-0 down and despite pulling one back could get a 2nd for a well deserved draw.
The football again today was excellent and great battling for everyone. Thank you to Leo, Parker and Freddie stepping in from the 2017’s.

Incredible performance today from James who stepped up playing multiple positions and was excellent in every one of them. He took his goal very well and could have had a 2nd if it wasn’t for a fantastic save from the goal keeper.

Last night, our Hawks played their final match in the 2013 Boys Summer League against Bangor Young Men, and what a game it turned out to be.

A slow start and a couple of early mistakes saw the opposition race into a 3–0 lead after 15 minutes. But instead of letting their heads drop, the girls regrouped and showed exactly what they’re capable of.

The response was fantastic. We played some really good football, competed well all over the pitch and matched the opposition physically throughout. Three excellent goals from Gabi in the second half brought us level at 3–3.

A well-earned point and a great way to finish what has been a really enjoyable summer league. The girls have challenged themselves throughout against strong opposition and should be proud of how they finished.

Final summer camp announcement 📢

Our final summer camp of 2026 will be in partnership with Ards Rangers Juniors FC…

Although in partnership with Ards Rangers this camp is also open to children not affiliated with Ards Rangers 🙌⚽️

📍 Drome park Newtownards, Portaferry road.

📅 Monday 17th - Friday 21st August

⏰ 10am - 1pm each day

Uefa and IFA licensed coaches will be delivering age specific football sessions, designed to cover every aspect of the game.

From Dribbling and passing to shooting and ball control.

Mini matches, Fun skills, SAQ and team games.

The cost of the 5 days is £70
