The most expensive mistake I made in my life was not investing in me sooner
I was 42 years old before I decided that the alcoholic, corporate construction manager could do more with his life
I was living day to day, payslip to payslip, pint to pint
And you know what, at the time, I remember thinking it was mega
I remember thinking to myself “What a life I have”
I was fu**in “cool”
I had the girl, the job, the house, the car, the motorbike - all these material things from my fat salary with no idea that money isn’t made for spending
See money (IMHO) is made for investing - in different asset classes, but me, I was the most important asset class that needed that investment
My mindset, my education, coaches, mentors and masterminds have been absolutely pivotal in my own growth
Some I am still in contact with now, some hate me, but grateful to every single one of them regardless
And I don’t share this to brag, I share it to inspire and let you know that if this sounds like you… there are options for you too
Now from those investments, I’ve become alcohol free (almost 3000 days) a private pilot and have bought our dream home in Cyprus, found myself and found God
I am surrounded by the most amazing group of people, coaches, clients, entrepreneurs, consultants all willing each other on
First thing I had to do
I had to back me, trust in me and my ability to do the fu**in work
My ONLY regret is that I waited too long
Now I wouldn’t change it for the world
Have an amazing week ahead
