There may have been heatwaves but the MRC lot are BREEZING through their races this summer!

July was another month of strong racing and running with some major milestones also celebrated at various parkruns 🔥 well done to each and every one of you!

Happy birthday to us! 🎉 Nine amazing years of our fantastic running club and community in Morley, and we’re still going from strength to strength.

We celebrated in the one way we know how yesterday - with our parkrun league run at Armley, followed by some well-earned cake! 🎂🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

What shall we do to celebrate the big 10?!

This weekend we celebrated our C25k class of 2026, who graduated their 10 week course at Rothwell Parkrun, supported by a huge group from MRC 👏

Week in, week out, with homework on top - these runners have put the graft in and are now flying around those 5ks! We can’t wait to see you at our club runs, races and more.

Big shout out to Ewelina Katarzyna Amrouche for leading the course, and our other run leaders for their support over the weeks.

Last weekend a group of us headed a little further afield for our parkrun, with a lovely morning in Cleethorpes! 😎🌊

We always have one tourism fixture as part of our parkrun league and Cleethorpes got the most votes from our members.

As well as running 5k we made a morning of it with club coffees & coast walks.

Race Report: Pontefract 10k by MRC’s Vicky Almond 😎💫

Last weekend Vicky ran the Pontefracf 10k alongside a few other club members. It’s an enjoyable course with a few hills (though nothing on Morley 😉) that’s back on the scene after a few years.
