"A WAR OF THE ROSES IS TAKING PLACE"
Morley Town AFC head down the M62 to take on the Love of Lacey FC in what will be the first of many annual battles all in the name of charity. Whilst competing to claim The Lacey Roses Shield, our aim is to spread the message of the great work our friends on the wrong side of the pennines are doing, all in the name of Lacey.

At just the tender age of 7, Jodie and Ray Warburton lost Lacey to Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC). The Love of Lacey Charity set up in her name supports several key initiatives, including providing family retreats where bereaved families can grieve, be a safe place in the local community bringing players and bereaved families together through the game of football, and one close to our own hearts is providing community defibrillators, raising funds for them to installed for public access.

We could not feel any more privileged to be asked to take part and hope we can play a part for many years to come in promoting the great work the charity and team do.

​Only 1 week to go until our open training sessions begin! We are building two competitive, winning squads for the 2026/27 season and we want YOU to be a part of it.

​🗓 Starts: Tuesday 26th May

⏰ Time: 18:30 - 20:00

📍 Location: Glen Road Playing Fields, Morley, LS27 9HL

Huge congratulations to our Under-23s who officially secured promotion to Division 1 yesterday!

After a clinical performance on the pitch and results elsewhere falling in our favor, we have mathematically guaranteed a second-place finish. This achievement is a testament to the relentless hard work, discipline, and talent shown by the players and coaching staff all season long.

To our supporters and followers thank you for being behind the lads every step of the way. We can’t wait to take on the challenge of next year!

Big news for the 2026/27 season 👀

Following the continued growth and success of our U23s, we’re proud to announce that Morley Town AFC will be entering two U23 sides into the West Riding County Development League next season.

This is a huge step forward for the club and a reflection of the quality, commitment, and demand we’re seeing at this level.

As a club, we are heartbroken by the sudden loss of our friend and coach, Jason Liu. He was a huge part of our community, giving his time, energy, and passion to everyone involved. He will be deeply missed by us all.

A JustGiving page to raise funds for a defibrillator at the club, helping to protect players, coaches, and supporters in the future was set up by West End Park.

Any funds raised beyond the cost of the defibrillator will be given directly to Jason's family to support them with funeral costs and during this incredibly difficult time.

It is with great sadness we share with you the passing of our coach and friend Jason Liu.

Despite joining the Town less than a year ago, Jason quickly became a much loved character within the club. His love of the game was infectious for all around him and only outweighed by his love for his players, none more so than his son Kiin.

Jason's passing will leave a big hole in the hearts of many at our club and in the teams he faced, but he will be remembered for his great humour, terrible banter, passion for the game, fierce protection and enthusiasm for his players and his huge smile at seeing his boy play.

The club and all within would like to express our heartfelt condolences and send our love to his family and friends.

The thirds walk away without a point as they go 4-0 down against a strong Shelf Juniors Reserves. The thirds didn't really get going until the second half and had their chances but they just couldn't put them away.
