It’s been a paddly kinda week so far (basically as a distraction to some big stuff that’s going on) and its been fun!

Monday was a turn practice day, FINALLY did a full step back but it still takes me so long to get back up the board i’d still be at the first buoy when everyone else was finishing a race - I will keep practicing 😅. Only fell off once but lost yet another pair of 🕶️ in the process 🤣
Downwinded back to the club house in raft that didn’t need a single paddle stroke and nattered all the way 😅

Tuesday saw me back at Lincoln with Phil from Lincoln Rivercare and Greg from Covenham.
Windy slog from Woodcocks to Brayford Pool but it was worth it as on the wind assisted way back we collected…
5 bags of Pennywort
1 shopping basket
1 captains chair
1 traffic cone
Loads of rubbish
And saw loads of wildlife

Lovely to be on the water, and even better to be making a difference

Boards and kit utterly minging when we finished so given a much needed clean with a Bio Mate brush on our hose pipe (forgot to take pics🤦‍♀️)

Massive thanks to Norfolk Paddle Adventure for the recommendation. Great to bump into him on the water today too and highly recommend for lessons, coaching or guiding round the waterways of Norfolk 😎

Sad times this weekend as after 13 years it was time to say goodbye to this little dude.
Won’t miss his habit of bringing in rats, mice, birds, voles or moles but it’ll be weird not having him around 🫶💙

Saturday 29th May 2027

Our first race of the 2027 season sees a return to Foremark Reservoir and the fabulous folk at Burton Sailing Club.

Home of the legendary Fish Finger Sandwich, we’ll kick things off with our usual format of Technical, Sprints and Distance.

The clubhouse has an excellent galley and bar, so feel free to bring the family along to spectate 😀

Camping will be available for Friday and Saturday nights.

Anything new for 2027? Keep an eye on the socials for more dates, venues and announcements 😃

When we bought an OutdoorMaster Shark 3 pump last year we were delighted with how good it was. Boards and boat pumped up no time however, as with our previous Shark 2 there was no carry bag provided with it… so along came our brilliant KITSACK bag which just so happens to be the perfect solution, not only for the pump but also hose, cables, nozzles, drinks bottle and much more. The bag is padded, really strong and has a carry handle and hidden rucksack straps.
