As many of you know Precision Boxing Academy was set up to try and help spread su***de awareness and prevention. Mental health is a serious killer. Ricky was a legend of the sport and it is sad to see him leave us with so much speculation about his mental health at the time of his passing. We are often aware of someone's troubles and question whether we did enough to help.
The Academy is full of people who are always willing to listen. Men in particular are most at risk because talking about your problems and showing emotion is an alien concept still to many. Talking saves lives. It is okay to say you are struggling.
Please speak up.
Please do not suffer in silence.
That goes for women too, of course.
Myself and Dan Gibbon are always here to listen. And we can point you towards more support if you need it.
Saying 'help' can save not only your life, but others who hear you say it ❤️.
