Full time result in the Durham county cup.

A first ever outing in the county cup saw the Rangers come up against opposition from a different league.
Straight from the off, the difference in vocality team chemistry was clear to see as Tow Law dominated the opening stages on and off the pitch, and it would soon pay off.
A through ball caught Defender Liam off guard who, after a short tussle with the speedy winger, could only stab into his own net past the helpless Baz in goal. 0-1
A second goal came shortly after, as a whipped in ball bounced un challenged through the six yard area and was tapped in at the back post. 0-2.
Again, we found ourselves in the dumps and after a few moments of silence, we picked ourselves up and started again. We turned up the heat, and after a few shots saved by the keeper and a few corners later, we found that goal.
A marvellous cross from Harry Butters found the head of Ryan who showed everyone that if you’re going to have a 6’5 centre forward in the box waiting to score goals, you absolutely need to deliver balls into the box. 1-2.
Half time came around and nothing much was said by Managment, we knew what we had to do. But somehow, 10 minutes into the second half, we collapsed again. This time the speedy winger was again allowed to tip toe into the box and score an easy finish unchallenged. 1-3.
The game was getting away from the Rangers, and to top it all off, a clearance which ended up a good 2 yards out of play, was “kept in” and pumped upfield, despite the Rangers sideline flagging and shouting for the out ball, the referee missed the calls and allowed Tow Law to slam home a fourth goal to wrap it all up 15 minutes from time.
A disappointing end to a thrilling first home game of the season, but a lesson to all in the Red, white and blue.
