Redcar Town Football Tournament - Game of Tournaments

The Reds and Blues of last season made their way to Redcar yesterday to compete in an U10 26/27 Girls Tournament. A lovely day out, alongside some of our older BR teams. ❤️💙

The Reds were crowned Gold Cup Champions, after an unbeaten group stage, finishing 2nd on goal difference. They then faced the Blues in the semi final, where they ran out comfortable winners. Which then led Darlo Locos in the final, after drawing 0-0 in the groups, and 0-0 about 50 times in tournaments in the past, a Heidi L first time weak footed finish into the top corner capped off a dominating performance. 🏆

The Blues also had a day to be proud of, topping their group consistent of Horsforth, TIBS Yellows and Middleton Rangers. The girls finished unbeaten, 2 wins and draw, leading to a semi final clash with the Reds. Was always going to be a tough one against an elite side, but the girls showed great fight and determination, Ava grabbing herself a goal ( that we’ll award to her 😅). New faces Ivana and Heidi settled well into the group, and both had big impacts on the group stage games, so well done to them two! 👏🏻

BR Blues 💙 TJFA Challenge Cup - Runners Up 🥈

The Blues ended their tremendous season with a 4-1 defeat to BR Whites in the Challenge Cup Final at Middlesbrough FC’s Training Ground. 😢

Unfortunately second best on the day, there were still positives to take from the performance. Ariana was immense in between the sticks, quick off her line and made a ton of saves to keep the scoreline low. Ava Mc scored a belter on the stroke of half time, smashing the ball with her laces from outside the box into the side netting 🚀

The blues gave it a good go, worked hard but just wasn’t to be. Well done to BR Whites 👏🏻

Big well done to all the girls this season, enjoy the league presentation tonight and go celebrate! Congrats Ariana, Charlotte, Ava M, Olivia, Lily, Evelyn, Ava Mc, Libby, Nirvana, Ella & Charlie (+ Heidi & Alistair!) 🏆

BR Whites 🤍 TJFA CHALLENGE CUP CHAMPIONS 🏆

It’s about time we celebrate our super whites, as last week they ran out 4-1 Winners in the League Cup Final vs BR Blues.

A dominating performance, full of energy and desire to win, the whites were deserving champions! All players contributed to the victory, through goals, passing, big tackles and huge saves! The determination and team spirit was exceptional 👏🏻

Player of the Match was awarded to Ivana by League Officials, who took control of the game, scoring 4 goals and was relentless in sprinting the whole length of the pitch again and again and again! A proper cup final performance 🤩 💫

A huge well done to all our girls, a double to finish off a tremendous season! U9 Division 2 Winter League Champions and Challenge Cup Winners 🙌🏻⚽️🤯
