The Melbourne Sporting Partnership was established in 2005 to bring together interested parties to drive improvements to the recreation site (‘the Rec’) at Cockshut Lane, Melbourne. The Partnership includes local sports clubs, Melbourne Parish Council and South Derbyshire District Council. It will seek funding to upgrade the facilities as a resource for the collective development of local clubs, and then take overall responsibility for their sustainable delivery.

It’s ‘Hump Day’ and that means we are closer to the weekend….and what a weekend it’s going to be with our 10th Anniversary Open Day Event on Sunday starting off a whole week of activities🎉🎉🎉

Always an early start on a Tuesday here at the MSP….

The Fitness Lady has the first of her two classes today starting at 7.30am🙆‍♀️

Then later the main MSP bar is open from 4.30pm🍻

Melbourne Tennis Club Mixed C team host Littleover Valley,6.30pm start🎾

Melbourne Dynamo FC U16s have a game under lights as they take on Stafford RTC,7pm kick off⚽️

And the MSP darts team have a home game against Courtyard,8.15pm start🎯

Plenty of footy on the TV’s including the return of the Champions league…..

It’s a big day for the Melbourne Tennis Club as they are holding their annual Finals day from 10.30am with 8 trophy’s up for grabs🎾

Melbourne Dynamo FC U18s start their 26/27 season against Belper United FC U18s on Pitch 1,10.30am kick off⚽️

Melbourne RFC U16s welcome West Bridgford RFC U16s on Pitch 2 in your rugby action,11am start🏉

Melbourne Town Cricket Club complete the four members clubs in action as they play Sutton Town CC in a friendly,1pm start🏏

It’s also a big day for Melbourne Dynamo FC Ladies 1st team as they play Thrapston FC Women in the Women’s FA Cup,2pm kick off on Pitch 1⚽️

Melbourne RFC 2nds begin their 2026/27 season with a friendly against Telford Hornets on Pitch 1,2.15pm kick off🏉

Melbourne Dynamo FC Reserves start their league campaign against Stockbrook United,3pm kick off⚽️

The Fitness Lady is already halfway through her 1st of 2 classes of the day to start of Friday here at the MSP🙆‍♀️

Totballers have their regular session on the AGP from 10am with the theme being Superheroes vs Villians⚽️

Then there’s Tai Chi from 1.45pm

Afternoon Club will meet when the main bar open from 4pm🍻
