A fantastic innings of 109 by G Singh Rathour at home to top of the table Chellaston 3rds put him 14th on the board

We can’t let last Sunday pass without a shout out to our Ladies section👏👏👏👏

The ladies part of the club has just grown and grown and last Sunday we had two teams at the Softball festival at Swarkestone🏏🏏

And we did a clean sweep winning all 6 games…a great effort by our ladies💪

Not only was it an unbelievable win for our 3rds against Champions elect Clifton Cricket Club 3rds last Sunday…..four of our players got onto the Derbyshire County Cricket League honours boards👏👏👏👏

Obviously they were fortunate there was no cricket at all on Saturday but even so💪

Well done to Jake,Ed,Karthik & Adhir Christi - Keller Williams Derby🏏🏏🏏

Our 3rd team skipper finally got to his 1st ever Century after a few close knocks scoring 109 away at Lullington💪💪💪

1sts make the trip to take on Ockbrook 3rds in a mid-table clash,1pm start🏏

Our 2nds host Dunstall 3rds at Cockshut lane,1.30pm🏏

And our 3rds make the long trip to play Alrewas 4ths at Lullington,1.30pm🏏

What a weekend for the club👏👏👏👏

Let’s start with yesterday and catch up with Saturday tomorrow🏏

First of all the club is very proud to have hosted two Derbyshire County Cricket League cup finals yesterday🏆🏆

It’s a big thing for us and hopefully we did everything we could to make the day go smoothy.Huge shout out to our chairman plus the two Sam’s who spent all day making sure everything went to plan and not forgetting Jenny & Sue from our fundraising committee who sold tickets for our Summer raffle💪💪💪

Onto our 3rd team match away(home) against A & B 4ths who posted 254 all out with Jake Wight top scoring with 79 supported by a return to form for Michael Rennocks (52).In reply superb spells from Wright(4-8) plus two wickets apiece for Ed Jones & Adhir Christi - Keller Williams Derby left the hosts?! scrambling for the draw on 181-9👊👊👊

Our ladies softball team entered the annual end of season Festival held at the county ground and were unlucky not to win all three games completely a great season for the ladies section👏👏👏

And finally one our own Lara Shaw smashed an amazing 145 as Derbyshire Cricket Foundation Ltd Ladies beat Worcestershire….batted Lara

So much goes on behind the scenes to make days like yesterday go so smoothly so thankyou to all our volunteers….without you our club would exist❤️❤️❤️
