That’s a wrap for Lake View Lodge’s 2026 season! 🍂🎣

Lakeview Lodge is now closed for the winter while we get stuck into some pond maintenance, give the fish a well-earned rest, and carry out a little TLC in the lodge to keep standards high for your next stay.

A huge thank you to everyone who stayed with us this year. You’ve been fantastic! We’ve seen some brilliant fishing and received amazing feedback. We really appreciate every review and all the lovely things you’ve shared about your time here.

We’re already looking forward to welcoming guests in 2027 🏡

Have a lovely winter, everyone, and we’ll see you next season.

Sarah & Rich 💚

An extra-long morning coffee, with a view like this.

Taking a little more time to sit, watch the lake and enjoy the last of the summer sun.

There’s something rather lovely about slow mornings at Foxholes Lake, no plans, no rush, just the water, the wildlife and the peace of the Derbyshire countryside.

Quite possibly the best way to start the day. ☕️

🐟 Meet Bob! 🐟

One of the biggest fish here at Foxholes Lake – and quite a character!

Bob is one of our stunning carp and is always a special catch for our guests. 💚🎣

We love seeing the fish thriving in the lake, and Bob is certainly one of the ones that gets people talking. 😍

Fancy meeting Bob yourself? 🎣

After a great deal of thought, we've made the difficult decision to stop offering day tickets at Foxholes Lake with immediate effect.

Going forward, fishing at Foxholes Lake will be exclusively available to guests staying at Lake View Lodge.

This hasn't been an easy decision, but with the challenges we've faced this summer, including low water, oxygen levels and the need to minimise stress on the fish, we believe it's the right one. The health and welfare of our fish has always been, and will always remain, our top priority. By reducing angling pressure, we can help ensure the lake and its fish remain healthy for the future.

We'd like to thank everyone who has supported Foxholes Lake over the years by purchasing day tickets. We genuinely appreciate every visit and every kind word, and we're incredibly grateful for your support.

Thank you for your understanding and for supporting our decision to put fish welfare first.

🎣 Another fantastic weekend at Foxholes Lake!

Our holiday cottage guests have enjoyed some superb fishing, with some beautiful catches coming out of the lake. It's always great to see smiling faces and fish safely returned to fight another day.

What a weekend for Jay and Jayden! 🎣

“Chloe” the fish made a rare appearance and was landed twice over the weekend! We don’t see her very often, so it’s fantastic to see her looking in such great condition and doing so well 💙👀🎣
