Conference Cup Campions πŸ† πŸ† πŸ†

The lads played extremely well in the heat this morning to win the conference cup.
We didn't have much luck in the group stages, the same problems we had for most of the season kept coming back. We couldn't get the ball out of our feet to shoot and we weren't quick enough to close other teams down.
But game by game we improved and by the time we got to the final we were on fire again.
We started quickly moving the ball up the pitch with Charlie and Jude constantly pushing the ball forward and then keeping Radcliffe Juniors in their own half.
We finally had a breakthrough with Albert reacting quickly to a rebounded shot and slotting it home. We then changed the team around and put Logan at the back to stop the counter attacks asked for pace upfront and Finlay delivered scoring a hat trick. Ted kept a clean sheet and looked comfortable in net and William kept pressing from the first minute.
Great win for the lads they deserved it for all their hard work this season.

U13’s (Cobras) Match Report πŸ²βš½οΈπŸ”°

Unsworth 6-2 Bury Amateurs

What a way to see the season out in the glorious sunshine. Slight tweak in formation with a view to next season. The lads started on the front foot and if truth be told completely dominated Bury who are usual a very hard working team but we didn’t give them chance to play football at all.

As well as working hard some of the one and two touch passing was superb and we moved the ball around fantastically well.

Goals came from Worzel with 4, Frankie and Tommy but also created a lot more and the woodwork denied us a couple too.

Overall a really good first season and the group we’ve managed to put together has done brilliantly.

We want to thank all the lads and you parents for all your help and support over the season and look forward to celebrating the lads tomorrow.

See you all then and fingers crossed the sun lasts another day πŸ™πŸ»πŸ™πŸ»

Unsworth 7–2 Bridge

History made for the Bees!
Unsworth Bees capped off a remarkable season in style with a commanding 7–2 victory over Bridge in the play-off decider, securing the league title and completing an incredible League and Cup Double for 2026.

Founded in 2018, Unsworth Bees have continued to grow year after year, and this latest achievement marks a historic moment for the lads. With the league title on the line, the Bees produced a performance full of energy, quality, and determination, showing exactly why they have been one of the standout teams all season.

From the first whistle, Unsworth played with confidence and purpose, taking control of the game and creating chances with some excellent attacking football. Their hard work, teamwork, and commitment were rewarded with seven goals in a memorable display that left no doubt about the destination of the title.

Bridge battled throughout and deserve credit for their efforts, but the Bees were simply unstoppable on the day, combining solid defending with clinical finishing to seal a famous win.

The victory completes a sensational campaign, with the Bees now crowned both League Champions and Cup Winners for 2026 – a fantastic reward for a group of players who have worked tirelessly all season.

More than the trophies, this success reflects the spirit around the team. The players, coaches, and families have created something special, supporting each other every step of the way and making memories that will last for years to come.

Congratulations to every player and family involved in an unforgettable season.

U7’s (Warriors) Match Report πŸ²βš½οΈπŸ”°

Unsworth V Collyhurst (Cobalts)

Frustrating start from our standards (regardless of being 2-0 to the good early on), we just didn’t get going, lost battles, didn’t win races and rushed decisions which occurred for the first 25 minutes. At half time we found ourselves 5-2 down.

While the other team competed well, I felt all the way through we were the stronger group and we demonstrated this much more in the final 25 minutes with a higher level of competitiveness and quality. The boys worked so hard to keep the opponents in their own half for long periods, setting traps well, stealing the ball, racing away in 2’s and 3’s and it was here where we scored some very good individual and team goals which they should be really proud of.

Great game in the end, which is what we want. Although a good number of goals for Collyhurst were from our own doing at times we have to give credit to them for making it a tough game. We did excellently to turn the game around and claw all our way back only to run out of time. We had many more attempts on goal but Collyhurst had a fantastic, very brave GK otherwise I think we’d have had much more joy.

U9’s (Jaguars) Match Report πŸ²βš½οΈπŸ”°

Unsworth V JPS Lightning

Jaguars on the wrong end of the score for their last game of the season.

We had a couple of players missing and were a bit disjointed as a result but fair play to JPS they played some nice attacking football and were clinical when they got chances.

Joshua got us a consolation goal. Remy and Jack both had decent stints in goal but as a team we never really got going today.

MOM Lincoln played well across a number of positions.
BE Cyrus defended really well and always a danger from set pieces.

With thanks to our sponsors Champion Professional Risks and to our supporters. We go again and start preparing for next season.
