You do NOT need to live on salads and give up every snack you enjoy to get results. 🙃

One of my clients asked me this after seeing “you can’t outrun a bad diet” all over social media.

And I get why she was confused.

Because fitness content can make it seem like you have two choices:

đŸ„— Eat “perfectly” and get results
đŸ« Eat the foods you actually enjoy and make no progress

That’s just not how it works.

You can eat snacks.
You can eat meals you actually enjoy.
You can go out for dinner.
You can have a coffee that isn’t black. 😂

What matters is that your nutrition supports what you’re trying to achieve and is realistic enough for you to actually stick to it.

Because the “perfect” diet that you hate and abandon after two weeks isn’t better than a less-perfect approach you can consistently follow.

Fitness should fit into your life — not become your whole life.

Follow if you want to get results without making fitness your whole life đŸ’Ș

A workout doesn’t have to destroy you to be effective.

Sweat, soreness and calories burned might make a session feel productive — but they’re not the best way to measure whether your training is actually moving you forward.

Look for progression over time:

→ more weight

→ more reps

→ better ex*****on

→ better control/range of motion

→ improved performance

You don’t need a PB every week. You DO need some evidence that you’re progressing over time.

Save this for the next time you wonder whether your programme is actually working.

I spent far too long thinking being “good” at fitness meant taking up less space.

Eating less.
Burning more.
Being lighter.
Being stricter.

But somewhere along the way, the goal changed.

Now I care about adding weight to the bar.
Getting stronger.
Having energy.
Eating enough to actually support my training.
And building a body I’m proud of because of what it can DO.

Turns out chasing strong feels a hell of a lot better than constantly chasing smaller đŸ’Ș

Strong > skinny.

Fitness gets a lot easier when you stop trying to be perfect at it ☕

You don’t need to train every day.
You don’t need to eat “clean” 100% of the time.
And you definitely don’t need to feel guilty for enjoying the things you like.

You need a routine that works on normal Tuesdays, busy weeks, weekends away AND pumpkin spice latte season 🎃

Because the plan you can actually stick to will always beat the “perfect” one you keep having to restart.

Strong > skinny đŸ’Ș

You do not need to stop going for coffee to lose weight.

One coffee doesn’t ruin your progress. The real issue is usually feeling like you have no idea what’s actually in your order.

That’s exactly why I made the Coffee Shop Cheat Sheet — so you can walk into any coffee shop and order with confidence. Without guessing, without guilt, and without skipping the catch-ups and coffee dates that are part of your life.

This isn’t about restriction. It’s about making informed choices so coffee stays what it should be: something you enjoy, not something you stress about.

So many women tell me the same thing: “I just need more motivation.”

Here’s the truth — motivation disappears. Habits don’t.

The women who get the best results with me don’t wake up excited every single morning. They’ve just built systems that don’t rely on how they feel that day.

Gym bag packed the night before. Workouts scheduled like an appointment, not an option. Protein prepped so decisions are already made. Environment set up so the easy choice is the right one.

That’s what consistency actually looks like. It’s boring. It’s not glamorous. It works.

Which habit has made the biggest difference to your fitness? Tell me below.

Comment your best habit.

I want you to meet Laura.

Laura was already going to the gym. Already trying to eat fairly well. Already hitting her steps most days.

She still wasn’t seeing results — and if you’ve ever felt like you’re “doing everything right” and still not getting anywhere, you’ll know how frustrating that is.

When we started working together, Laura was honest about it: “Okay — but need to shift the extra pounds.” “Agree gym days and stick to it.” No excuses, just an honest read on where things had been slipping.

She’s got a hen do and a wedding this year — “once in a lifetime moments,” as she put it — and she wants to feel like her most confident self for both.

So here’s where we’re at right now: three structured sessions a week, and tracking food for the first time in a way that actually makes sense to her. No dramatic transformation photo yet — and I’m not going to pretend there is one. What’s actually changed is simpler than that: she’s gone from guessing to having a plan.

If that’s where you are right now — doing a lot right, still feeling stuck — this one’s for you.

Follow to see how Laura’s getting on.
