Simply Wing Chun offers private one-to-one or two-to-one private sessions in the martial art of Wing Chun Kung Fu. Wing Chun Kung Fu is a fascinating and technical martial art that can be learnt by anyone as it does not rely on strength. Private sessions develop you faster and gives you bespoke sessions tailored to your level and rate of progress. You will achieve self-defence skills that you woul

d never have thought possible in a very short space of time. Session prices are £40 per hour whether you are training one-to-one or two-to-one. So grab a friend or partner, split the cost (£20 each) and come and learn Wing Chun Kung Fu!

Another successful Wing Chun self-defence workshop

All participants showed great enthusiasm, focus and commitment. In just 2 hours they learnt vital self defence skills and really grasped the philosophies of the system.

Wing Chun is not just kicking and punching. It's a total mind and body development system that improves balance, co-ordination and overall health and well-being.

2025 has been an incredible year of training for our Wing Chun class.
I’ve seen so much progress from every single student. The effort, consistency, and dedication to truly understanding the system has been inspiring.

Wing Chun isn’t about being great at a few drills, it’s about connecting the dots. It’s about embedding the philosophies of relaxation, centre line, calmness, timing, correct energy, sticking, and control into everything you do. Whether it’s sensitivity work, drilling techniques, wooden dummy training, sparring, or chi sau, these principles must be continuously trained and applied.

That’s why this is a martial art for life. Art has no finish line, only continuous progression for those willing to put in the work with patience, creativity, and consistency.

We all know life gets busy. Training isn’t always consistent, and that’s okay. Don’t beat yourself up. Accept it, come back when you can, and come back stronger. What heartens me most is that students don’t give up. They return, pick up where they left off, and keep moving forward. That matters.

Our doors are always open, no matter how often you train. If this is truly an art for life, sometimes you train hard and sometimes there’s a drop-off, and that’s part of the journey.

I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone’s progress in 2026.

It’s where you truly forge and hone your skills.

If you’re training Wing Chun but not studying sensitivity or Chi Sau, you’re missing the essence of the art. Wing Chun without Chi Sau is like a tree without branches. 🌳

After 35 years of studying Wing Chun, I’m still learning, refining, exploring, and passing on the true essence of Ip Man Wing Chun — as taught to me by my late Master, Anton Van Thomas — to the most dedicated group of students I could ever wish for. 🙏

I’ve also had the honour of training with Grandmaster Ip Chun and the late Grandmaster Ip Ching, who both deepened my understanding of soft power.

So — shut out the noise. Focus deeply on your training.
The road is long. Walk slowly. Stay patient.

Develop relaxation, sensitivity, skill, flow, control, timing, and subtlety.
