The Garuda Method is the vision of James D’ Silva to create a new fluid and hybrid method of movement on both the mat and the revolutionary Garuda Apparatus. Combining the spirituality, pranayama and asana practice of yoga, the core strength and focus of pilates and the balletic grace of dance, the Garuda Method is the answer to many people’s quest for a stronger, more flexible, toned body.

Garuda Foundation Apparatus A concentrates on the basic movement repertoire, taking you through a syllabus that prepares you for teaching movement at both an elementary and intermediate level. Here the practitioner is trained in the philosophy and movement material and taught Garuda specific teaching skills.

Garuda Foundation Matwork is the cornerstone of the Garuda Method, that builds gradually from the micro to the macro. Here movements start first by isolating individual muscles, then move on to the myofascial lines they belong to.
