🥉 EUROPEAN SH*TO RYU CHAMPIONSHIPS MEDALLIST 🥉

After the disappointment of yesterday’s World Championships, where he finished a very respectable 5th place in the U21 category, James Beards came back stronger today at the European Sh*to Ryu Championships in Hungary.

With a change in kata strategy and a different kata order, James produced a fantastic performance to claim a Bronze Medal on the European stage.

Tomorrow it’s time for the Senior Male category, starting at 08:30 local time (07:30 UK time).

🇭🇺 Good luck to James Beards, who travels to Monor, Hungary this week to compete at the World and European Sh*to Ryu Karate Championships. 🥋

Due to ongoing school and college examinations, we were unfortunately unable to send a larger squad to this year’s event. That makes us even more appreciative of the commitment James has shown in making the journey and representing Sh*to Ryu Karate Wales on his own.

Travelling internationally to compete is never easy, and doing so without teammates alongside you requires even greater dedication, maturity, and focus.

Safe travels, enjoy the experience and show them what Wales can do 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

SHRKW: In the Community

Our first SHRKW: In the Community feature is Llandudno Cricket Club player, Clare Bozier.

This is exactly what we want this project to represent, showing that Sh*to Ryu Karate Wales isn’t just about karate.

It’s about supporting local people, local athletes, local clubs and positive causes within our community.

Proud to support Clare and Llandudno Cricket Club. 🏏🥋
