Established 2012 Karate Academy was formed by Sensei Aamar Rajpoot at the age of 19 with the first dojo opening in his local area of Slough.

The aim behind our academy is to develop good Karate amongst our students and empower them with attributes which will help them throughout life. We teach the style of Goju Ryu which was founded by Chojun Miyagi Sensei in 1933 in Okinawa. Nearly 100 years on we now find many different styles of Karate - Goju Ryu being the original. Karate Academy Goju Ryu Karate-Do offers instructors whom have collectively over 50+ years of experience training as black belts.

Training in Okinawa is always a special experience, connecting with the roots, traditions and history of the art we continue to practise and pass on to the next generation.

Another unforgettable part of the journey, with plenty of hard training and memories along the way.

🇯🇵 Japan 2026 🇯🇵

Our Sensei have once again completed their annual summer trip to Japan, continuing their commitment to learning, training and developing in Goju-Ryu Karate at its source.

Here’s the group from this year’s JKF Goju-Kai Seminar in Yokohama — another fantastic opportunity to train alongside Karateka from around the world and continue learning from Senior instructors.

A great trip, great training and plenty of memories made. 🥋

To our instructors, volunteers, officials, organisers, parents and supporters — your time, dedication and hard work behind the scenes made the day possible, and we truly appreciate every one of you.

Black Belt Demonstration • Kingsley Community Fair 🥋

A fantastic day representing Karate Academy UK at the Kingsley Community Fair!

Our Black Belt students put on a demonstration showcasing the discipline, power and technical skill that comes from years of dedicated training. It was great to see so many people stop to watch, ask questions and show an interest in karate.

A big thank you to everyone who came over to support us and to the event organisers for having us. We hope we inspired a few future karate students along the way!
