First league defeat in a very mixed performance across the 90’.
We had enough chances to win the game, but also gifted Kippax Old Boys two of their three goals.
We had just about got some rhythm going before handing them a chance on goal that was well taken within the opening 10mins.
We had two big chances to reply with a 1-on-1 going wide and also hit the post in a half we looked laboured, but with plenty of the ball.
Second half we started far better and for 25 mins controlled the game. Reuben Young getting us level with a left footed finish into the bottom corner after an excellent Alfie O’Toole pass.
We continued to create half chances and get into the last third, but lacked the final quality to work the keeper.
KOB cleared a volley from Alfie off the line, to then moments later going ahead to land a real sucker punch, after we failed to clear our lines and take our opportunities.
The third KOB goal came from an error at the back and again the home side showed their clinical edge.
We go again next weekend.
