Our players of the match from the women's Inner Warrior Festival this weekend! 🏉

Elisha and Suman absolutely smashed their first ever games of rugby, earning themselves forward and back of the match.

And our coach's player went to Libby, who had only been to one Burley training session before playing for us.

Congratulations to all! No tit of the day was awarded this weekend, but rest assured... it will be back👊

POTM was rightly awarded to Harry Francis, who week on week sets the standard for the players around him, and this week was no different! Awesome performance from an awesome player!

And our coaches comments come directly from head coach Richard Cuthbert, or better known as

Unfortunately a loss on the weekend for the mens side, but with plenty of positives and dominating for large portions of the game, there’s plenty to keep their heads up about!

This weeks well deserved player of the match is Harry Francis, who led from the front and had a characteristically world class performance! Well done Harry!

An unbelievable outing from Burley women at the Inner Warrior Festival yesterday 🏉

The day saw 60+ players come together - it's amazing to see the growth of the women's game at a grassroots level on days like these! Many thanks to Huddersfield Womens & Girls RUFC for hosting.

It was a packed day of rugby with three shorter games being played back to back for each team. Burley came away with three wins; a total of eight tries and eight conversions by our point scoring machine Lucy, and a huge try from Robyn off a run from the half way line. The whole team put in a massive shift and we couldn't be more proud!

The Burley team also featured 6 new players, including Elisha, Suzanna, Suman and Naomi who all played their first ever game of rugby! Congratulations to you all, and welcome to Burley 👊
