Yesterday members of the club competed in the Central Scotland Open at Ravenscraig Sports Centre in Wishaw.

Results:

Wado Kata

E.Hunter-Talbot 13-14 Girls Junior to 4th kyu 🥈
A.Shaw 16+ Female Dan Grade 🥈

Excellent results from the 2 girls.

For our juniors they were now competing in wider range of grades so for Erin to step up and bring home a medal was fantastic.

Ami was competing in the adult section for the first time and got to the final where she met a far more experienced opponent but more than held her own.

For everyone else who competed it was a good mat time. Sometimes decisions or points don’t go your way in sport karate. Don’t worry and trust the process. We are all learning here.

Well done again and we’ll see you tomorrow at class.

Big weekend coming up!

Classes are on as usual tonight at Kirkcaldy YM.

On Sunday we have some students competing at the Central Scotland Open in Wishaw.

We are expecting it to be a step up for us with almost everybody moving up a level in age and with the juniors being put in with the lower senior grades. However, we welcome the challenge and will learn from it no matter the outcome 👊
