☀️🏆 PICNIC AT THE POLO 2026 🏆☀️

What a weekend! Our highlight tournament of the summer season certainly did not disappoint. From perfect weather and brilliant ponies to some fantastic polo on the pitch, it was a weekend to remember!

We were delighted to welcome 8 teams across two divisions, with players travelling from Scotland, England and the Isle of Man to join us for the weekend. Every player gave it their all, resulting in some brilliant and competitive polo across both days.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the weekend possible. To our umpire Martin Fewster, all of our timekeepers, scorekeepers and goal judges – thank you for keeping everything running smoothly throughout the weekend.

Thank you to Andrew, our vet, for being on standby, and to Jan Kiesel for providing fantastic commentary across the whole tournament.

We are also incredibly grateful to Polo Times for kindly providing the beautiful rugs for our Best Playing Pony awards, and to Taylors Snacks , Lothian Lavender and Smeaton Estate for generously providing prizes for our teams. We really appreciate your support!

Most importantly, thank you to every player who travelled to spend the weekend with us. We hope you had a fantastic time at our club and that we’ll see you all back again soon!

Finally, a massive thank you to all of our club members who helped support and run the tournament. Events like this simply wouldn’t be possible without our small but mighty team. 💪

✨ Meet Caramelo ✨

From a mischievous new arrival to a much-loved staple of our polo school, Caramelo has come a long way!

Trusted with riders of all ages and abilities, he’s just as happy plodding along as he is getting stuck into a fast chukka. 🐴

A firm favourite with kids and adults alike… even if he still likes to keep us on our toes from time to time! 🤣

From outdoor polo to indoor polo! 🐎

We had a lovely first day at Edinburgh Polo Club last weekend, but unfortunately the rain meant day two had to be cancelled.
Rather than leave the tournament unfinished, we welcomed the teams back to our fantastic indoor arena to battle it out, with slightly altered line-ups.

Picnic at the Polo is back on 5th & 6th September, with teams from Scotland, England and the Isle of Man battling it out on the pitch! 🇬🇧🏇

🍔 Food van on site, with food available to purchase — or feel free to bring your own!

It’s National Racehorse Week!

We’re proud to have a number of former racehorses and racehorses in training now playing polo with us!

What a fantastic two days at our Kids Polo Camp last week! 🐎

Last week’s Kids Polo Camp was a brilliant couple of days and we loved seeing everyone having such a great time both on and off the horses 😁

A big thank you to all the children who joined us, as well as all the parents and guardians who made it possible!

🐴 KIDS’ POLO CAMP | 19th–20th AUGUST 🐴

Our Kids’ Polo Camp is coming up on 19th & 20th August! Two days of polo, coaching, horses and plenty of fun at our pitches in Errol. 🐴

All ages and abilities are welcome, with horse hire available or the option to bring your own.

And it wouldn’t be a camp without an evening BBQ and the option to camp at the pitch! ⛺🔥
