☀️Portmoak's Vintage Weekend!☀️

This weekend the Portmoak Heritage Collection got all their toys out the hangar including the T-21, Prefect, Skylarks and an Eagle!

Pilots got to experience the thrill of cruising at 35 knots in the open air with a massive set of wings😎

Its been a pleasure to host Dumfries and district gliding club this week at Portmoak! ☀️

They kept spirits high with BBQs, deck chairs and their K13 'HAL' 😁

Deeside 🤝 Scottish Gliding Centre

Members are enjoying an outing to Portmoak this week as part of cross-country development with gliders in tow.

A great opportunity to experience a different environment and airfield to fly in with a bit of ridge soaring on the sleeping giant and a glide over the lang toon. We're relatively free to fly up in Aboyne and Portmoak brings airspace challenges which many will have experienced for the first time, all good experience under the belt!

Libor has been making good use of the winch launch and has finalised his SPL winch launch endorsement today opening up more gliding site possibilities! Libor is pictured on the left with instructor David.

Huge congrats to Mason on officially becoming a Silver Pilot! 🥈👏

First ever cross-country flight + land-out adventure from Portmoak to Kirriemuir - complete with cloudbase climbs, radio distractions, “that field will do” moments 😅 and a textbook circuit into a lovely field.

What a day, what a milestone… 300 next? 👀
