Spot of climbing with me old mate Ray - couple of routes or one I thought I hadn’t done but had…original route on Great How - I’d done the lovely ‘Copper Dragon’ - great name for the location! - about ten yrs previous a route found and climbed by Al Phizaclea which takes a more cunning and steeper line across the buttress. We opted for the direct move off the ledge felt VS and the move exiting the crack was fun also - no big cams…not a soul there and a lovely spot in the Coniston valley.

Out in the canyons again - 3 sisters from Ireland coming for a reunion together. Now living in different parts of the world, really nice to do something for them that brought a smile. A morning here and then they were heading to the Low Wood for a spa! Top day.

Great fun with this family wanting some activities on their hols. This ghyll pushed them just enough giving them challenges and obstacles to overcome - and in this heat kept them cool! Slightly chiller than some other Ghyll’s found in the Lakes but always nice and peaceful.

A quick half a day ‘shunting’ on a crag I’ve never visited before. Far Hill - steep and the routes starts in the E’s. Nice to see some 💪 teams pushing it out on the E3’s and 4’s. Trad isn’t declining after all ❤️ not in Cumbria anyway. Fired up the pizza oven and few 🍺 perfect.
