Tomorrow sees 3 of our current Hornets playing at the home of English Rugby against Cornwall in the final of the Gill Burns Championship!🏆

What an incredible achievement for Kenzie Burnside, Daisy Graham, and Maggie Graham!

The Clubhouse will be streaming this game for anyone who wishes to come watch, and support our girls from afar!🐝

It is with great sadness that everyone at Houghton Rugby Club shares the funeral details for our much-loved friend and club member, Peter White.

Peter was a true Boar and a valued part of our rugby family. His friendship, support, and presence around the club touched so many people over the years, and he will be deeply missed by us all.

We have been asked by the family to share this notice.

Peacefully on Friday 22nd May at Sunderland Royal Hospital, Aged 75 years, Peter. A much loved Husband to Jean. A cherished Dad to Laura and Michael. Beloved Father In Law and adored Grandad to Nina, Thomas and Rose. Also a cherished friend to so many who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Will friends please meet for service at South Tyneside Crematorium on Monday 15th June at 2pm. Family flowers only please, donations if so desired to The British Heart Foundation, a donation box will be provided at the crematorium. The Family have requested that people wear a splash of red for the service.
Peter will Repose in the Private Chapel Of Rest at T & G Direct Funeral Services, 207 Hylton Road. Sunderland. SR4 7 XA

U13s AWARDS🏆

This past weekend our players dinners were back in full swing with our U13s celebrating on Friday night! After a tough season, the boys improved week on week and the awards are as follows:

COUNTY REPS🐝🐗

It was so great to see 5 of our current players in action this weekend representing their county!🏆

The Men’s Durham County U20s made the trip down to Bedford on Sunday to take on a very physical East Midlands side. Despite the result, our lads did themselves, and the club, incredibly proud with their immense efforts and the heart they showed till the very end!🐗

Meanwhile, the Women’s Durham County squad took on Cheshire at home on Sunday, coming away with an 87 - 7 win! Our girls were all on fire with each of them getting on the scoresheet in the game! A huge congratulations ladies!🐝

At HRUFC we are so proud to have so many incredible talents being recognised each season for their hard work and determination!🏆

Our annual club BBQ is approaching & tickets go on sale this Friday!🔥

Tickets will be available to purchase from behind the bar from Friday 22nd May at a price of £15 for adults, and £10 for children🐗

Make sure to get your tickets for 30th August for a day of good food, great company, and some fabulous performances!🎤
