After our previous sponsorship post, this is a special thank you, not just for support this year but for many years, A Voase and A Jones Butchers!!

Many a happy Hollis member has been fed by their pies post game over the years, its another piece of work that goes unseen but the club is always very grateful!!

May this special partnership continue for years to come, we know the lads appreciate it, especially the front 5!!

On Saturday 9th April 1927, a match took place between Hornsea and an ‘Old Crocks XV’ (a vets side put together by club official Mr Wilburn).

What I’ve found fascinating is in the Press report of the match a newspaper cartoonist drew and published caricatures of some of the players in the match. Some of the drawings are of big names from the clubs early days, such as; Bertie Fox, Colin Kirkus and Jimmy Nutt.

💚🖤Sponsor THANK YOU – 2025/26🖤💚

Hornsea RUFC would like to say a huge thank you to all of our club, player, and coach sponsors for the season just gone. 🙌

Your unbelievable generosity and support throughout the 2025/26 season has helped make a massive difference both on and off the pitch. Without you, we simply wouldn’t have been able to achieve what we have this season — and what your support will continue to do for the future of the club is truly remarkable. 💚🖤

From helping players and coaches feel valued, to supporting matchdays, kit, equipment, and the overall growth of the club, every single sponsorship has played a part in pushing Hornsea RUFC forward.

What makes this club special is the support from local people, local businesses, and everyone who continues to back the Green & Black year after year. The community spirit around the club this season has been unbelievable, and we can’t thank you enough for being part of it. 👏

We still have a few more sponsorship announcements to come over the next couple of weeks, so keep your eyes peeled 👀

If you’re interested in re-signing with us for next season, or would like to come on board as a new sponsor — whether that’s club, player, or coach sponsorship — please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We’d love to have you involved with the Hornsea RUFC family 💚🖤

But for now, from everyone at Hornsea RUFC — players, coaches, volunteers, committee members, and supporters — please take our honest and heartfelt thank you. 🍻

Here’s to an even bigger 2026/27 season ahead 💪

Thank you!

FULL TIME | Hornsea RUFC 34 – 24 Barnsley RUFC

A brilliant performance and a well-earned home victory for the lads yesterday against a strong Barnsley side on VPS Day.

From the first whistle, the team showed real intent, energy, and togetherness, putting in a proper 80-minute shift. We stayed disciplined, took our chances well, and kept control in key moments to see the game out. 💚🖤

A huge thank you to everyone who turned up to support the lads on VPS Day — it’s hugely appreciated and makes a massive difference.
