A huge well done to our new U8 Saturdays Falcons team who were rocking their new kits thanks to TeamKits .
The players are a combination of U7 and U8 children and they put in a great home performance at Dukeshouse against Prudhoe Marlins.

Match report
U13 Leopards v Cramlington United

The leopards were asked again today to play with high energy and use our pace in the forward line. They did just that resulting in a goal soon after kick off from Lana. The first half saw lots of energy without either team really gaining real control. At half time I asked the girls to take better care of the ball and control the play. They responded in emphatic style another 3 goals from Lana, one from Jess, Dylan and Harri meant we run out comfortable winners.

🐆⚽️ WEEK 2 – for our brand new U9’s PANTHERS team ⚽️🐆

What a great effort from the girls today! 👏🔥

The Panthers played really well and it was fantastic to see the progress they’re already making. We had much more structure to our game today, and the formation we’ve been working on in training worked really well. We created some great chances too 😮‍💨⚽️

One of our big focuses in training this week was creating space, encouraging the girls not to all follow the ball and instead spread out, find space and give their teammates options.

It was brilliant to see this coming through in the game today! 🙌

There was a really noticeable improvement, and the girls are starting to understand how important their movement and positioning is.

The should be incredibly proud of themselves 💚 👏

There’s still lots for us to learn and work on, but the progress is there and the girls are giving everything every week.

U13 Jaguars v Swifts
Blustery conditions for the cup game. Jags played some really nice football throughout against spirited opposition. Some hairy moments in the first 10 mins as Swifts were playing with 3 or 4 upfront against our back 3 before Jags made a small adjustment and took control. Jags were able to put some players out of their usual positions and comfort zones! but they all rose to the challenge. Lily and Ava in particular did well, as did Bree when she moved in to midfield. Goals shared between Elsie, Betti, Lily, Katie, and Ava.

What a fantastic start to the weekend! 💚⚽️

What a performance from the lads today — built on resilience, relentless running, plenty of physicality and fantastic teamwork.

We really found ourselves today. We took what we learned from last week about the speed of the pitch and used it to our advantage. Despite conceding first, the lads didn’t let their heads drop. They showed great confidence and character to push on, get back into the match.

The second half was some of the best football we’ve played, with some brilliant team goals.

Nathan was welcomed back in goal and had to battle the bright sunshine in the first half, but once again made some brilliant saves when called upon. Moss was his usual stalwart at the back, doing a fantastic job of marshalling their forward players and giving us a great platform to build from.

Our front four rotated positions really well, and the work rate from all of them was great 👍🏼

⚽ Goals were shared around between Archie, Harry & Cooper 👌⚽️🥅

Archie showed fantastic close ball control, dribbling past defenders and showing confidencein front of goal. Harry showed a real poacher’s instinct, finding himself in the right places at the right time. Cooper’s pace and direct running caused problems throughout and put him in great positions too.
Hopefully, today has set the standard that we can strive for every week. Big Nathan and I genuinely couldn’t have asked for more from the lads. Everyone gave 110%, worked for each other and showed exactly what they are capable of.

We are extremely proud of that performance. Well done, lads — what a way to start the weekend! 💚🤍⚽️

Our Miami U9s had a great night at Newcastle Utd Academy training ground and gave their all against a very good Newcastle United U8 Academy team. It was a great experience for the lads who worked their socks off all night they should be proud of their performance and the way they have represented Hexham Football Club. Well done lads super proud

**Saturday 05/09/26**

The 2026/27 Season started today for many of our Saturday teams.
U8 Celtic enjoyed a new start as a team with lots of players thriving in confidence.
Our U10s Benfica and Sporting teams gave their new kits a run out (Kindly Sponsored by TeamKits ) as they played sn entertaining friendly match played in good spirits.
Our U11 Atletico hosted Benfield in their first game in their new League and had a fantastic experience in a close match.
Unfortunately there were defeats for both our U13 Dynamo teams but our Jaguars U14s managed an entertaining draw with some of the younger age group girls stepping up and doing well.
Our U16 Scorpions Girls were first to kick off the Season with a narrow 5-4 loss at Wideopen on Friday evening. Our U14 PSG team picked up their Russell Forster Youth League form from last season with a 5-2 win at Consett Steelers.
The U13 Puma Girls started bright 🌞 with a good 2-1 win against Walker.
The Hexham Leopards started the season with a strong 6-1 win over Wylam Rockets.
What an amazing team performance where everyone attacked and defended together with tight passing and incredible spirit.

Tomorrow we’re back in Northern Alliance Division 1 action as we welcome Newcastle Benfield Reserves to the High School, looking to make it four wins from four. 💚🤍

Last Saturday saw another brilliant result for the lads as we came away with a 5-2 win over North Sunderland FC.

North Sunderland made a quick start, taking the lead inside the opening 10 minutes, but just a couple of minutes later Leo De Santis brought us level with his third goal in three games. The game then swung heavily in our favour as North Sunderland were reduced to nine men after picking up two red cards inside the opening 30 minutes.

Hexham took control from there, with Miller Thornton putting us 2-1 ahead just before half-time.

The second half was largely one-way traffic. A brilliant header from Jake took a deflection off a North Sunderland defender and found the net for an own goal to make it 3-1, before some excellent football saw Max Gradwell flick a cross towards the back post for Charlie C to tap home our fourth.

North Sunderland pulled one back from the penalty spot, but Alex Waters wrapped things up with a composed penalty into the bottom corner to seal a 5-2 victory and three wins from three. ✅🔥

Tomorrow brings another tough test as we look to keep that momentum going against Newcastle Benfield Reserves.
