Hawick Boxing Club are looking for the next generation of young boxers to carry on the long and proud history of Hawick boxing. if you like the idea of boxing and fancy your chances in the ring but have never tried your hand then Hawick Boxing Club coaches would be pleased to meet you, train you up and get the best out you. If you think your child has what it takes or lacks in discipline or simply

needs a hobby to keep them occupied, we welcome kids from as young as 7 although they wouldn't be able to compete until the age of 10. The club has a very friendly atmosphere and is always good fun. We welcome people of any age, race and gender. We have got several young prospects in the club and would like to invite more people to our training sessions held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Sessions include, warm up exercises, circuit training, boxing techniques and supervised sparring from our qualified and experienced coaches. You will get the chance to travel around the country and fight in shows and tournaments. Boxing is a fantastic way to build confidence, and self pride and it also teaches self control and discipline. Boxing has been responsible for taking countless youngsters from poverty and from hanging around on estates and getting into mischief, and giving them something positive to focus there energy on. although Boxing is the toughest sport in the world and requires hard work, dedication and long term commitment, for those who stick in the rewards can be phenomenal at any level and in many ways. please share this page and try to encourage the youth to put there efforts into something active and positive by joining Hawick A.B.C and see if hawick can produce its next champ. Tonight, Hawick Boxing Club’s junior section held in conjunction with Police Scotland Scottish Borders, were introduced to learning activities from the youth link Scotland workshop β€œImagine a man” highlighting a positive and healthy version of masculinity that aligns with gender equality. The programme has been successfully ran in local schools by partner agencies with extremely positive feedback. The kids gave great examples of inspiring legends, Everyday Heroes and Role Models, backing up their examples with tremendous enthusiasm. A great learning session for all tonight, well done πŸ‘ We then moved onto boxing based games and finished with pad work, all of the kids listened well and worked hard whilst having fun, well done to you all πŸ™ more than a boxing club, a club for all, making better people and giving back to the community πŸ€πŸ’™πŸ’›πŸ₯ŠπŸ₯Š

Had a few people asking about new team kit, anyone who wants to place an order please write down your order including sizes pop it in an envelope with payment and hand it in to one of the coaches. Please don't ask us about sizings, we're coaches not tailors !! all measurements are on the photos so just get a tape out and check. We will not order anything without payment up front so please don't ask. I believe there is a 21 day turnaround from us placing the order to receiving the kit.
