✨ August Reflection ✨
My monthly reflections are simply a little pause to look back — what went well, what didn’t, what I’ve achieved, where I’ve stumbled, and what I want to carry forward.
August has been a little different. With the kids off school, routine has naturally been a little all over the place, but it’s also given us a chance to slow down, spend time together and prepare for the new routines coming in September.
One of my biggest learnings this month has been showing up for myself. I’ve realised that action often comes before motivation, that consistency beats intensity, and that knowing my why helps me focus on what’s important rather than simply what feels urgent.
Some things I started, some I completed, and some had to go on pause — and that’s okay. I’m learning to trust the process, because people have off days, but good processes keep us moving. Most importantly, I’ve been trying to be my own best friend and simply love myself through it all. ❤️
There have been lots of lovely moments to celebrate: Aarna turning 13 🎂, Rio turning 6 🐾, Abhi and I celebrating 16 years of marriage ❤️, Rakhi, and my new nose piercing, which I absolutely love! 😍
On the yoga side, I launched my Yoga & Wellness Retreat in Kerala, with bookings now open for March 2027. 🌴🧘🏽♀️
In my yoga sessions, we’ve been revisiting the 8 Limbs of Yoga, including the Yamas & Niyamas, sparking some really deep conversations. This is what I love about my face-to-face sessions — creating space to explore the deeper meaning of yoga and how it can be lived, not just practised on the mat.
I also spent 10 days learning about menopause — something very close to my heart. Learning more helps me understand myself better while deepening how I can support others.
So, thank you August. ❤️ For the slowing down, the learning, the celebrations and the beautiful summer days.
I’m proud of what I’ve stayed consistent with, grateful for what I’ve learnt, and ready to carry it into September as I welcome autumn. 🍂
