A knee hover doesn’t need to be high. Keep your spine long, press the floor away and lift only far enough to maintain control.

This small Pilates movement is surprisingly effective. Keep the waist gently lifted and move the underneath leg without rocking the pelvis.

Not your typical yoga class.

No flowing sequences. No balancing acts. No pressure to be flexible.

Yin Yoga is a slow, deeply restful practice where comfortable, supported positions are held for several minutes. It’s a chance to pause, breathe and release tension—without rushing or performing.

Every position can be adapted to suit your body, making Yin Yoga welcoming for complete beginners and anyone craving a peaceful pause in their week.

If your body’s been “on” all day, this little Yin flow can help you slow things down.

Square/Fire Log → Sphinx → Anahatasana.

Three simple poses, held with time and patience, to help you shift out of constant doing and into something quieter.

No rushing. No forcing. Just a little space to breathe and soften.

Square / Fire Log → Sphinx → Anahatasana

This little sequence is all about control, coordination and keeping the movement smooth rather than rushing from one exercise to the next.

Sometimes slowing things down makes the work feel even stronger.

Single-leg circle → scissors/single straight-leg stretch → teaser

Start with 2–3 circles each way on one leg, bring both legs up into a controlled scissors movement, then bring the legs together and come up into a teaser .

Pilates doesn’t always have to be slow and gentle.

This little flow combines side-body strength, plank control, hip extension and upper-body strength — all while keeping the movement controlled and connected.

Side bend → plank → pull leg prone → press-up → side bend.

A great little full-body Pilates challenge. 💪

A little glimpse of my Sunday Yin practice in the Yoga & Pilates Hut 🤍

Nothing fancy, nothing forced — just taking a little time to settle into each shape, breathe, and let the body soften.

Some positions feel easy to find, while others need a bit more time and adjusting. That’s part of the practice too.

A lovely way to slow things down before the week begins.

Balance doesn’t always look perfectly still — and that’s okay.

Those little wobbles are your body working hard to keep you upright, with your feet, ankles, hips and core constantly making tiny adjustments.

And yes, Pilates instructors wobble too 😄

Some days are good, some days not. Some days a bit wobbly, some days not so wobbly!

Feeling tight after a busy week? 🌿

Slow things down with these 3 Yin Yoga poses to help release tension, improve mobility and give your body a chance to unwind.

✨ Dragonfly – opening through the inner thighs, hips and back
✨ Supported Bridge – a gentle release for the front of the body
✨ Melting Heart – opening through the shoulders, chest and upper back

In Yin, there’s no rush. Find a comfortable edge, allow your muscles to soften and give your body time to settle into each pose.

Save this one for when your body needs a little reset. 💚

Can you build through all 4 Pilates layers? 🔥

This side-lying series is a brilliant way to challenge your core, hips, glutes and stability — with each layer adding something a little different.

Start with legs together, then progress through side kicks and leg circles before taking it up into kneeling for the final challenge.

The key throughout? Control, stability and quality of movement.

How many layers can you do? 👀
