🌿 GRASS SEED WARNING – Keep Your Dog Safe This Summer! 🐕
It's that time of year again, and these little things are causing BIG problems for dogs across the country.
Grass seeds like the ones pictured might look harmless, but they are anything but. Their sharp, arrow-like shape means they work in one direction only – INTO your dog. Once embedded in the skin, between the toes, inside the ear, or even into the eye, they don't stop. They burrow deeper with every movement, causing abscesses, serious infections, and in worst cases can migrate internally.
Where to check your dog after every walk:
✅ Between the toes and paw pads
✅ In and around the ears
✅ Armpits and groin
✅ Eyes and eyelids
✅ Coat, especially on longer-haired breeds
Early removal is simple. A missed seed can mean a vet bill running into hundreds of pounds – or worse.
