Congratulations to the Clipper Race’s Chairman and Co-Founder, Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, who has been awarded the Pindar Lifetime Achievement Award for 2025, presented by the International Association of Cape Horners.

Sir Robin receives the award for his work in inspiring sailors the world over since becoming the first person to sail solo non-stop around the world.

Andrew Pindar, who presented the award, said, “It would hardly be a stretch to think of Sir Robin as the David Attenborough of sailing. Recognised and respected by a public of all ages who have enjoyed his exploits over a long and incredible nautical career.”

Sail & Spectate at the Emirates Great Britain Sail Grand Prix!

Join us on board a Clipper 68 for an interactive sailing experience before seeing the Emirates Great Britain Sail Grand Prix up close from the water.

Hosted by Clipper Events, enjoy a day of sailing under the guidance of our professional sailing staff before headed to the race course for the best on the water view of the Sail GP racing as possible.

Yachts will be sailing on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 July.

⛵No experience needed – Our programme includes a pre-race training day where you’ll get the opportunity to familiarise yourself with the boat and learn from your fellow crew members! You’ll be guided by our professional skipper and two expert mates throughout.
