Rods and Ribbons

Rods and Ribbons Casting for a Cause. UK's first all-ladies sea angling team. Our journey began with a love for the sea and a commitment to making a difference.

Welcome to the official fundraising page of Rods and Ribbons, the UK's first all-ladies sea angling team. We are a group of four passionate and dedicated women who have come together with a shared mission: to overcome the waves and reel in funds for Cancer Research. As avid but in some cases newbie anglers, we found solace and strength in the rhythmic ebb and flow of the ocean. But it was our pers

onal experiences with cancer that truly galvanised our resolve to fight this relentless disease. Each of us has been touched by cancer in some way, whether through our own battles or those of our loved ones. This shared connection has forged an unbreakable bond among us and fuelled our determination to support Cancer Research. At Rods and Ribbons, we believe that the fight against cancer is a battle that requires courage, resilience, and unwavering support. Our team is committed to raising awareness and funds for Cancer Research through our sea angling endeavours. We participate in various angling competitions and events, using our platform to highlight the importance of early detection, innovative treatments, and ongoing research. Our name, Rods and Ribbons, symbolises our dual commitment to the sport of sea angling and the cause of cancer research. The fishing rods represent our passion for the sport, while the ribbons signify our dedication to the fight against cancer. Together, we cast our lines into the vast ocean, hoping to reel in not just fish, but also hope and support for those affected by cancer. As we navigate the challenges of the sea, we are reminded of the strength and resilience required to face cancer. The waves may be unpredictable, but our determination remains steadfast. We are inspired by the stories of survivors, the memories of those we have lost, and the hope for a future free from cancer. Every catch we make, every event we participate in, and every donation we receive brings us one step closer to our goal. We invite you to join us on this journey. Whether you are an angler, a cancer survivor, a supporter, or simply someone who believes in the power of community, there is a place for you in our team. Together, we can make a difference. Together, we can reel in hope whilst catching tope! Thank you for visiting our page and for supporting Rods and Ribbons. With your help, we can reel in a future where cancer is no longer a threat.
