Everyone at Felling ABC are so proud of her achievements, dedication and hard work! ๐ฅ
A young boxer has retained her National Schools Championship title and remains undefeated after two years in the sport. ๐คฉ๐
Talented amateur Brogan Darrie, of Felling ABC, was crowned champion for the second year running after beating Destiny Gunter of Black Country Boxing Gym on May 17.
The championships were held at Northumbria University and Brogan's win cements her place as one of the brightest young talents in North East boxing. The 13-year-old spent all year preparing for the competition and sacrificed weekends, early mornings and evenings in pursuit of her dream.
Nicknamed 'Bomber', Darrie remains undefeated with an impressive record of 24 wins and no losses. What makes her achievement even more remarkable is that she has only been boxing for two years.
Club coach Darren Tindall said: "In that short space of time, Brogan has established herself as one of the most exciting young prospects in amateur boxing. Her natural talent, and relentless work ethic have already earned her a place on the England Boxing Pathway Programme, placing her firmly on course for future international honours.
"Brogan is an absolute superstar, she was born to do this. To become a two-time National Champion and remain undefeated after only two years in the sport is incredible. She's earned her place on the England pathway and we believe she has a huge future ahead of her."
What a star! Well done Brogan ๐
