🇬🇧 UK Kart Series Round 6 - Rowrah 🇬🇧

A little bit of an experience builder this one and it was exactly that. Saturday practice went ok we needed a bit more but got what we could.

Sunday, if we didn’t have bad luck we’d have none at all, caught up in a pile up on the first corner of heat 1 and wasn’t able to continue with the damage. Heat 2 we managed to finish but then heat 3 after gaining a few places to P10 Kalle was pushed off with 1 lap to go dropping back down.

Little man kept his head down and pulled it off when it mattered, 6 places gained in the final to end the weekend in the top 10 💪

After a week on holiday in Scarborough we stopped at Teesside on the way home for 3 days of karting.

Some unlucky races on Saturday being spun off twice throughout the day but overall another good weekend of building and our highest ever finishing position of P5 in heat 3 on Sunday💪

This weekend we’ve travelled to Crail for the ESKC Round 4 and Hamish Ross Round 1 event.

Little bit of a 1 off event as we are not competing in the full championships but seen an opportunity to get some valuable seat time🚀

Starting off this morning we struggled like we knew we would after missing testing yesterday. By this afternoon we found some form of set up that worked and to be honest quite happy to be in the top 10 at our first attempt here in Honda cadet.

Our first MSUK event in Honda so we’re on black and white novice plates until we complete a number of events 📈

Teesside sprint series round 4 this weekend and a decent result considering our Saturday practice.

Kalle drove well all weekend but it took until half way through Sunday to find our set up and by then it’s too late to climb from our position.

As much as Kalle naturally wants to be further up the grid we have a good few years in this class and the results will come💪

Kalle’s first interview with David Sullivan at Teeside karting🎥

David has tried a few times over the last few years but nerves always got the better of Kalle, and although still slightly quieter than he is off camera, he’s done a good job of his first time in front of a camera with a microphone👏

More lessons learned this weekend but from further back on the grid unfortunately. Issues with fuelling in qualifying where Kalle only managed 1 clean lap before he pulled off after loosing power.

Some really good battles in the middle of the grid but with it being so close and a few incidents we struggled to progress over today’s racing.

Our final started off looking good but after only 2 laps Kalle was was involved in a crash with 2 karts in front and had nowhere to go, ended up facing the wrong way and was then collected by another kart behind. I thought at this point this was the end of the race and weekend. However after a red flag was shown and race stopped for safety, Kalle got himself turned around and joined the grid for the restart.

Proud of the not quitting until the end moment, gave us a little lift in what’s been a tough weekend💪

Another great weekend of progressing and lap times are really not far from the front. Really proud of the learning and Kalles driving this weekend, probably the best I’ve seen him go🚀

Unfortunately the final wasn’t to be, couple of incidents on the opening laps knocked us well down the order and the grid is so close it was too much to fight back through.

Still a solid start in hugely competitive grid.
