Another round of Scottish Qualifying games being played tonight.

We have Gavin Douglas and Graeme Forsyth in the pairs against Lauder at Coldstream.

In the triple we have Scott Lackenby, Dave Hall and Mazz Donaldson playing against Ayton at Tweedmouth.

In the rinks we have John Jackson, Leslie Mitchell, Joe Condy and Jamie Mitchell playing against Newtown St Boswells at Duns.

Ties being played at Chirnside tonight are -

Gordon v Tweedmouth in the pairs
and
Earlston v Spittal in the triples.

Well done to brothers Cole and Kian Morrison who along with Harry Lightbody from Jedburgh Bowling Club, reached the final of the Open Triples at Gala Waverley Bowling Club on Saturday.

Although not winners of the competition, these youngsters deserve some recognition for coming very close to winning the final. Gaing experience, learning and improving all the time 👏👏👏

Well it's been a busy and successful weekend of bowling for some of our club members.......

Duns Park Bowling Club held their Ladies Open Pairs yesterday (Saturday) where Jane Carruthers and Ann Anderson (Duns) won there section and went on to win the final and lift the trophy.

Also yesterday, Ayton Bowling Club held their Open Singles. Well done to John Jackson for winning the competition. This follows John's success last weekend when he won Coldstream Open Pairs along with Kevin Donaldson (Gordon) last Saturday.

In the Hamilton Trophy yesterday, we had Joe Condy, Graeme Forsyth and Jamie Mitchell playing for the Borders v West Lothian at Selkirk. In a tight game, the Borders won by 3 shots, 128-125.

Further bowling action today and more success with young Dylan Jackson winning the Youth Under 18's Singles and therefore qualifying for the Scottish Finals at Ayr. Well done Dylan, a fantastic achievement.

Finally, Tweedmouth Bowling Club held the A1 Cabs/Woody's Taxi's Open Triples where Kian Morrison, Joe Condy and Jamie Mitchell were winners.

Playing at Greenlaw are our triple of Scott Lackenby, Dave Hall and Mazz Donaldson who play against the triple from Lauder.

Games at Chirnside include both our pairs, Gavin Douglas/Graeme Forsyth and David Buglass/Davie Lugget who are playing against each other.

The results from lastnights league games, the table as it stands and next weeks fixtures............

Lastnight we had a home game against Tweedmouth Club and as expected it was another close game between the clubs. We got the win, the score being 63-52. Thanks to Tweedmouth for the enjoyable game and all the best for the rest of the season.

An away fixture next week to play the Gulls in Eyemouth.

Unfortunately, it wasn't to be for Martin Wood in the Scottish Mens Singles qualifier lastnight, defeated by Lauder.

Tonight we have Sheila Douglas and Kay Purves playing for the Berwickshire Ladies Top Ten team. They are playing against East Lothian at Haddington Bowling Club.

Scottish Qualifing continues tonight........

Good luck to our club president Martin Wood who plays against Lauder at Duns Bowling Club in the Mens Singles.

There is also a Scottish Pairs tie being played at Chirnside as we welcome Duns and Spittal.

A successful day for the club in the Scottish Qualifing for the Borders (East) area at Greenlaw today.

Our Ladies Senior Rink of Jane Carruthers, Veronica Cockburn, Kay Purves and Sheila Douglas defeated the Duns Rink and our Mens Senior Single Leslie Mitchell defeated Campbell from Eyemouth.

Earlier this afternoon, Cole Morrison came out on top against clubmate Dylan Jackson.
