Sunday sum up 💛

And this Sunday isn’t about what I’ve achieved. This is about just how proud I am of every single woman I have within Empower and Excel, and everything they continue to achieve and accomplish.

Today I was talking to one of my amazing ladies, and she has come so far. From once never being able to walk long distances, to today absolutely smashing out 14,000 steps — which is incredible.

To the women who never thought they’d be able to run, yet are now competing in events they once thought were impossible. To the ladies who never believed they could drop dress sizes, but are now absolutely smashing their goals. And to the women who doubted they’d ever conquer the climb when we took on Snowdonia… yet again, they absolutely smashed it.

Today really made me realise just how lucky I am to do what I do. Not only to coach women, but to help show them that they are capable of achieving so much more than they think — especially when they have the right support, encouragement, and community behind them.

From someone who never thought she could, to someone who now believes she can — and is proving it every single day.

From someone who never imagined she’d run 5K, to someone who is smashing it week after week.

From someone who once doubted herself, to someone reaching new levels physically, mentally, and emotionally.

These photos don’t even begin to show everything this incredible lady has achieved in such a short space of time. The confidence she’s built, the habits she’s created, and the belief she’s found in herself are worth far more than any transformation photo.

I honestly can’t wait to see what the rest of this year brings for her.

I am absolutely blown away by your progress, both inside and out, and I couldn’t be prouder of you. ❤️💪✨

This isn’t intended to upset anyone—it’s intended to raise awareness.

Sometimes the things we most need to hear are the things we’d rather avoid, because they’re often what help us make real progress. I know that from personal experience. When I had my first child, I used to constantly reach for snacks and leftovers without thinking about it.

What I eventually realised was that if I wanted to achieve my goals, I needed to be more disciplined with my choices. That doesn’t mean never having treats or not enjoying life. Anyone who knows me or has worked with me knows that I believe in balance.

However, regularly eating your children’s snacks or finishing leftovers every day can make it harder to get the results you’re working towards. I’m saying this from a place of support, not judgment. It may not be what everyone wants to hear, but sometimes honest conversations are necessary.

Lifting weights won’t suddenly make you bulky, and it certainly won’t make you look masculine overnight. What it will do over time is help you become stronger, leaner, and healthier. You’ll improve your body composition, build strength, and make everyday movements easier as you get older.

Strength training is also incredibly important for women during perimenopause and menopause, helping to maintain bone density and reduce the risk of osteoporosis.

It’s time to move past the myth that lifting weights will “turn you into a man.” It won’t. What it can do is improve your health, confidence, strength, and quality of life. The benefits are enormous, and strength training is one of the best things you can do for your body.
