At our dojo, each young leader in our Junior Leadership Academy works through a six-month workbook that tracks their growth, reflections, and progress.
After every class, they record what went well, what they did, where they can improve, and how they felt about supporting the session. Reflection is such a vital part of becoming a great coach…and they are all smashing it! Coaches also leave feedback in the workbook, helping the members reflect even further (and remember what actually happened in class!).
Every session is logged, and if life, injury, or family means they miss a week, no problem—we just keep going until all sessions are completed.
It is a demanding yet flexible program designed to ensure our junior leaders take their roles seriously while developing skills in leadership, coaching, and accountability. We couldn’t be prouder of how they are stepping up!
