Spartans Community Foundation We are a charity and social enterprise using the power of people and sport to support our local community in North Edinburgh

At the heart of Spartans Community Foundation is our vision to change lives for the better in North Edinburgh. We do this by developing and delivering innovative programmes in youth work and education. We operate our facilities and community coaching programmes as a social enterprise, reinvesting profits back into the business to support our positive social impact in the community.

What an incredible day at our Girls Festival on Thursday ⚽🎾🏏

Now in its 9th year, it was fantastic to welcome local schools for a morning full of sport, activities, and inspiring experiences. Participants had the opportunity to try a variety of sports, hear from Hibs Women’s and former Spartans Women’s player Caley Gibb, and learn from an SFA referee who has travelled the world officiating at the highest level - alongside many more amazing opportunities throughout the day!

A huge thank you to all the participants, schools, volunteers from local schools and Brewin Dolphin, and all external organisations who came along to support and help make the event such a success. 👏

Every single member of the Spartans family should feel proud. We were chosen by the SPFL, SWFL and SPFL Trust to feature in the Scottish FA‘s Week of Football campaign.

Watch this short film, celebrating how we harnessed the power of our national sport (sorry golfers) and our local community to make positive change in North Edinburgh.

The campaign shines a light on loads of similar inspiring stories from grass roots level all the way up to Scotland’s senior national teams.

Sit down and enjoy some May Mayhem with our energetic Extra Time team. So many great activities, while supporting families, and creating safe spaces to explore. From football festivals, festive parades to brilliant partnerships, they did it all hand in hand with our brilliant North Edinburgh community. As well as building positive links with local voluntary organisations, statutory services and bridging connections. 😮‍💨 we’re needing a holiday after all that!
