I’m absolutely over the moon to finally share that both boys will be competing at the Southern 100 this year!
Those who know me know how much I love the Isle of Man, so being able to provide not one, but two race bikes for this incredible event genuinely makes my heart smile.
A huge thank you to Mike and James for everything they do to ensure that, as a team, we always give our best. And to
everyone who has kindly donated and supported our journey, thank you, you know who you are, and we simply couldn’t do it without you.
Roll on the Southern 100!
Let the countdown begin 🏍️🏁

Apologies for the quiet spell but a new house and a new job have both landed at the same time, so it's been a busy few weeks!
The good news is that Calon Racing will be back on track in just 10 days' time as we head to Aintree for Round 2 of the 2026 Championship.
We're looking forward to seeing as many of you there as possible and appreciate all the support, both at the circuit and online.
And remember, it's never too late to join the Calon Racing Supporters Club and be part of the journey throughout the season.
See you at Aintree! 🏁💛🖤

The CalonRacing Aprilia getting a well‑earned clean after the wet conditions at Aintree on Saturday. A full check‑over next, ready for the upcoming round. The future of the team was lending a hand too and we’ve already sealed the deal with a pinky promise that he’s racing for us when he’s a big boy!
Massive thanks, as always, to everyone who keeps us on track week in, week out. 🖤💛 Aintree Motorcycle Racing Club

Aintree Round 1
James definitely won’t be getting a job as a weather man anytime soon, promised me a dry day and we ended up with fine rain from start to finish. You know that kind of wet rain!!
Despite the miserable weather, both boys delivered a strong qualifying. Mike stuck it on pole, with James taking P2 in both Open Twins and Twins.
In the Carole Fairclough Memorial Race qualifying, Mike lined up 5th and James 6th, first and second in class.

**Race Results**

🏍️ Up to 700 Twins – Race 1
#8 1st
#21 2nd

🏍️ Up to 750 Twins – Race 1

🏍️ Up to 700 Twins – Race 2

🏍️ Up to 750 Twins – Race 2

The results kept coming. Mike took the win in class (6th overall) in the Carole Fairclough Memorial Race, a result that meant a huge amount to him personally. James brought it home 8th overall and 2nd in class.
A tough day weather‑wise, but a brilliant one for the boys on track
Thank you to everyone involved in organising the meeting, and thank you to all who came to say hello and support us. It was great to see you all. A special thank‑you to Lisa for kindly providing the team with matching hats (photo to follow).
Not many photos from me today, I was too busy cleaning, hunting for lap timers, doing signals, sorting transponders… and, of course, talking far too much.
Thanks as always Team CR

Race Weekend Review
Back from a solid weekend at Anglesey with NG Race Club. We weren’t even sure we’d make it, but Mike pulled off a miracle, huge effort, huge shift, and somehow the bike was rebuilt in time. We arrived late for Friday testing but still squeezed in four sessions, the bike behaved, and we banked valuable laps.
Saturday James arrived, focused from the first lap of practice and showing real grit. Both boys qualified brilliantly, both setting PBs, Mike lining up 3rd on the grid and James 6th.
I can’t fully explain what happened in the races because, truth be told, I was on edge all weekend, just hoping everything would go smoothly. What I do know is that both boys were on top form and gave absolutely everything.
Mike will say his first two races were a bit messy , concentration, wind, a few factors at play. James will say he was frustrated not making the most of back markers and making a couple of racing decisions that cost him. But the results speak for themselves:
Mike: Race 1 — 4th, Race 2 — 2nd, Race 3 — 2nd, with PBs all weekend and a best of 1:11.9.
James: Race 1 — 5th, Race 2 — 4th, Race 3 — 4th, also PBs all weekend with a best of 1:12.2, his fastest ever lap around Anglesey on any machine.
There is some unbelievable talent on that grid, and the boys were right in the mix. Proper, respectful battles across both days. And although I can’t be 100% certain yet, it looks very much like James is currently leading the Wirral 100 Championship that runs alongside the NG Club
All in all, a brilliant weekend. Thank you to everyone who came to say hello and support. Huge shoutout to Ian for the help, and to all the marshals, medics and officials for a well‑run event. As always, great to see the paddock family, good to have Bec and Ronnie around and visits from Phil (who kept the camp amused).

Next stop: Aintree on the 16th of May for both riders

So here goes........... WE'RE BACK!!!!!!!
After an unforgettable year and solid success, we’re thrilled to announce the official launch of our Supporters Club for the 2026 racing season.
Whether you stood with us from day one or you’re joining for the first time, this is your chance to be a part of something special.
I appreciate, no one owes us anything, but we need your help to build on last year’s momentum and make this season even more unforgettable.
We're bringing back the 100 number fundraiser. Pick your number, make a minimum donation of £20 and you're in !!!!
Payments can be made via bank transfer or paypal.
Throughout the season we will run exclusive raffles and as always I'll do everything I can to help members get access to tickets for events etc.
Your support genuinely makes a difference and there's always a warm welcome waiting in camp, and of course, Em’s famous cupcakes will make their return to keep spirits high.
The boys have been putting in some serious graft over the last few months, making improvements and pushing things forward. There’s still a bit of work to finish off, but we’re nearly there and feeling confident.
We’re aiming for April to be our first race meeting of the season, and we can’t wait to see everyone back with us, cheering us on and enjoying the journey together.
Let me know if you want in!!!!! Supporters names as always will be displayed on the refreshed supporters club board.
In appreciation, Helen, Team CR

A huge thank you to our commercial supporters who continue to stand by us.

🏁 Aintree Final Round Recap 🏁

What a day! Despite a packed schedule and relentless back to backs, it was a solid outing on track for both #8 and #21💪
🔥 Mike took on a monster 9 races, while James powered through 7, both pushing hard with barely a breather between. Riders and bikes were tested to the limit, with quick turnarounds and no room for error.
👏 Hats off to Broom Adam Bromilow and Brian who kept the wheels turning making sure the boys could stay focused and fast. Thank you for your help.
Highlights……..
Two epic battles in the 700cc Supertwin class. Barry Furber threw in a last-minute entry and came out on top. pushing Mike to the absolute edge in both races. The margins………..Barry pipped us by just 0.199 seconds 🔹 Race 2: Even closer — 0.194 seconds!. Mike rode hard and smart, but we just didn’t have the grunt out of the corners to match Barry’s drive. Still, it was great to watch and damn we were close!!!

Another strong day of racing in the books for James Leatham with consistent laps in the 59s showing we’re right where we need to be. He continues to impress on the bike, despite limited seat time he’s proving he’s got the pace to run with the front pack. Smooth, focused, and getting faster every round his confidence is growing, momentum is building and he’s making every lap count. Credit to him.

Whether it’s working on the bikes, sharing a laugh over a fizzy drink, or hyping each other before a session, the atmosphere in the team camp is bonkers! It’s all about camaraderie, banter, and backing each other every step of the way. No egos, just great people doing what they love supported and surrounded by family and friends 💯
Cheers to the laughs, the grind, and the wins we build together.

The day also saw Mike race the Mistral Racing Kawasaki in two classes and James his LCM Racing R6 in the Supersport600, both delivering top performances showing their versatility and racecraft across the board. No excuses, just pure focus!!!!
