Congratulations to our under 12 and 13 players who celebrated their end of season party at the Real Outdoor Xperience taking on the high wire challenge last weekend.

This was followed by pizza and presentations with medals for all and special recognition for

Alfie - under 12 winner of the Pete Clements memorial trophy for clubman of the year

Eli - under 13 winner of the Pete Clements memorial trophy for clubman of the year

Hector Under 13 most improved player

Alfie H under 13 coaches player of the season.

What a great season for both of these age groups.

So proud of this team 💚 ❤️🐊 Incredible teamwork, resilience and togetherness on display at the Cirencester U11 Festival. A special mention to Oliver, who led by example right to the very end—showing real grit and determination despite breaking his thumb in the warm‑up. When the going got tough, the boys got tougher, each player bringing something special for a truly united performance 🏉💪 A well‑deserved win by an AMAZING team, and a fantastic way to finish another brilliant season on the pitch 🏆

MARCH RECOGNITION AWARD
Paul devotes a huge amount of time to the rugby club as team manager and lead coach for two age groups both the under 11s and under 13s teams. Paul has been coaching at Cricklade for six years and has been the driving force behind much of the success that we have enjoyed in the minis and junior section. Taking the current under 13’s from a squad of 6 to over 20 and achieving great success and helping shape a fantastic team of great young men on the way. A key part of the coaching set up.

Another great weekend of rugby, this weekend our under 13’s competed in the “Battle of the Bridge Tournament”. Hosted by Swindon RFC, our boys found themselves in the tougher side of the draw facing Chippenham, Oxford, and Supermarine. The boys produced a convincing display to beat Chippenham and were straight back into the breach with back-to-back matches to play a fresh Oxford Quins side, who battled hard and were very disciplined to take the win.

Cricklade responded well to beat a resurgent Supermarine who were determined to avenge last week’s defeat at Cricklade. This secured the second place in the group and put the boys through to the bronze medal match.

The boys were fired up and it showed with some great attacking rugby and well worked tries. Taking the win 7-1 vs Gordon League and finishing 3rd 🥉

Missing a few key players and losing Jacob Poole to injury (after scoring vs Oxford) this is a great result (only losing to eventual winners Oxford) and the first sniff of silverware this season. The 13’s have their final game of the season in a few weeks at home to Chippenham. Next season will include a full fixture list and tournaments for the boys to test themselves
