WIN WIN WIN!!
2 out of 2 for Witton G against Police!
after only beating them once before in our many years in Prem, we’ve come out on top on both meets this season.
they knew they’d be out to get us after our first win, and they did exactly that - finishing the first Q 5 ahead.
but the girls kept their composure and we knew we had it in us!
a few clever tactical changes and moving to a rotating circle in attack really opened it up for us. the defensive pressure throughout saw us turning over ball and although we had opportunities to push ahead and finish the game earlier, we didn’t let that impact us negatively.
we focused on the positives and stuck together, and going 1 down in the final few minutes with Police C pass we managed to create an opportunity to turn ball and reward it. composure in our C pass then saw us see the game out with the 1 goal win.
well done to all of the girls - incredible effort, especially to see the game out with 7!
so proud of this squad we’ve built and can’t wait for what next season will bring for us!
