Calling it a day for season 2025. Done more this year than we have in a long time.
Started the year with the new tarmac car. Couldn’t let DP100 go to anyone else and it had to be a return to the old Mac100 colour scheme. We also had the privilege of racing Dave’s car at the shale qualifiers.
We raced all over the country chasing world qualifier points. We raced at the incredible Bradford Stadium for the first time and Aldershot for the first time in an F2. We also had the return of Knockhill which was amazing and it might only have been 2 meetings but we managed to win the track championship there.
We focused all year on the world qualifiers and managed to get ourselves on the front row of a semi final, only to be taken out by a back marker while running 2nd. We won the consi semi to still get in the big one, only to be buried while moving through the top 10. We then finished our year with a good 4th in the Mac100 final, a race we traditionally crash out of.
In between all this, me and the wife managed to buy a house and have a baby which is why we didn’t race as much as we had planned and why we’ve packed it in a bit early. We’ll have a handful more seasons in the F2’s before we trade it in for a Micro F2 no doubt!
Thank you to all of the team and the sponsors who help us along the way. You all know who you are and you all know I can’t do it without you. Even more so this year with the late nights on the car and the loan of vans and trailers and shale cars and gearboxes and diffs and all sorts of other stuff to travel the country trying to get in that world final.
We’ll give DP100 a wee freshen up during the winter and see how we go next year.
