KINGS LYNN ORCi CHAMPIONSHIP & NS ROUND 4

This round of the National Series was a little different, with no grid from the back race this time. With split qualifying heats for the ORCi Championship, all cars started off their usual grades, with points awarded down to 18th place to determine the championship grid.

Gary #622 ❤️🖤

Heat 1: 19th after being spun out.
Heat 3: 15th.

Unfortunately, Gary didn’t score enough points to qualify for the Championship race.

Allcomers: Gary’s best race of the day, finishing in 10th and 3rd National Series Driver. With both shale meetings done Gary has gone to 5th place in the NS Points.

Jay #629 ❤️🖤

This was Jays first time racing the saloon on shale and his first championship!

Heat 1: 24th.
Heat 2: 13th.

These results earned Jay enough points to qualify for the Championship, starting on the inside of Row 15. Unfortunately, he was spun into the infield and had to retire from the race.

Allcomers: 11th

Absolutely delighted for Jay! He drove amazingly for his first time on the loose stuff at Kings Lynn, and it was great to see him getting stuck in. Plenty more to come!

Tonight we are back at Cowdenbeath Racewall with three cars, before heading south to Smeatharpe Stadium tomorrow for National Series Round 5!

Bobby’s funeral will take place on Monday 2nd November.

All family and friends are warmly welcome to join the family afterwards at Prestonpans Labour Club, Kirk Street, to remember Bobby and share memories.

Bobby will finally be reunited with the love of his life, Dorothy. ❤️

Jay has qualified 15th row for the ORCi championship. Gary didn’t get enough points to qualify, maybe because he couldn’t see where he was going in his last heat….

RACING UPDATES
SATURDAY 10TH OCTOBER ❤️🖤

Gary #622
Mildenhall was the destination for Round 3 of the National Series Shootout.
We’re not sure of Gary’s individual race results, but he came away sitting 4th on the Shootout table!
It was great to be back at Mildenhall, where Gary last raced 10 years ago in his Ministox. How time flies! 🏁

Jay #629
Cowdenbeath was the place to be for Jay, and what a night he had!
W&Y Series Final – 1st
Heat 1 – 1st
Heat 2 – 4th
Final – 1st
With wins in both a heat and the final, Jay moves up to yellow grade for the rest of this month.

NEXT STOP – KINGS LYNN! 🚐🏁
Tonight we’re hitting the road with both saloons for Round 4 of the National Series and the ORCi Championship, taking place tomorrow at Adrian Flux Arena.

With 50 cars booked in and hopefully some sunshine on the cards, it’s shaping up to be a fantastic day’s racing! 🤞☀️

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the peaceful passing of Bobby Vass #6. 💔

Bobby was a great friend to our family and was our kids’ number one fan and a huge supporter of their racing, always cheering them on and sponsoring them along the way.

He loved joining us on our many road trips, making memories along the way. When he was no longer able to travel with us, he never lost interest and would always be waiting to hear the results after every race meeting. That’s how much he cared and how much the racing meant to him.

Bobby, thank you for all the support, kindness and memories over the years. You were a special part of our racing family and will be missed more than words can say.

Rest peacefully, Bobby. Gone but never forgotten.

Our thoughts are with Bobby’s family and friends at this very sad time. Take care of Kerr for us ❤️🖤

The ORCi Ministox will feature across both days of this year’s UK SuperBowl weekend at Cowdenbeath Racewall on Saturday 31st October and Sunday 1st November.

We are delighted to announce the addition of the Kerr Paterson Memorial – SuperBowl to the 2026 calendar. Our sincere thanks go to the Paterson family for their support in bringing Kerr’s memorial to the Racewall.

Qualifying heats will determine the grid for the SuperBowl final on Saturday Evening.

Two additional tyre prizes will also be up for grabs:

🏁 A tyre for the highest finishing lower grader outside the top three.
