A very big thank you and congratulations to Craig and David, for years of dedication and hard work. This board has kept the club alive for years, against increasingly difficult parameters. It's no exaggeration that without David Allan there is no Cowdenbeath FC in 2026. Both deserve to bow out and become supporters again. Thank you, both, for everything 💙🐄

Cowdenbeath FC can now confirm the retirement of two of the club's Directors as they step down from the Board - Craig Scott and David Allan.

Following retirement from a notable legal career, Craig joined the Board in 2018 - he was then involved in a number of areas including club development.
During the COVID era, he was part of the team providing live match commentary on Blue Brazil TV and thereafter has been hosting interviews on BBTV.
In his 8 years as a Director, Craig earned the respect of all his Board colleagues with his constructive, insightful and positive input.
Fans too found him approachable and he was a popular figure all round at Central Park. Craig though will not be lost to us and we look forward to seeing him in the seasons ahead lending his support to the team.

David Allan now steps down as the Club's Finance Director - his 18 years on the Board made him the club's longest serving Director.
David though has agreed to stay on pro tem as acting club secretary and will also continue to provide some assistance on matchdays.
David commented, 'I only reluctantly accepted a place on the Board in the first place in 2008 as the club endured one of its periodic crises. I didn't expect though to still be in situ some 18 years later! It has both been a hard shift and a privilege with all the ups and downs of football. It is a time for change now.
My thanks go to all my colleagues, the players, staff and volunteers, and the fans who have been on the journey over those years. I will carry on too as Club Historian and as co-Editor of the programme.
My last day as a Cowdenbeath Director (15/05/26) was rounded off by a trip to see Black Diamonds and the Blue Brazil at the Royal Lyceum for the second time. I have been 60 years a Cowden fan so I guess this is my (Black) Diamond anniversary. The show brought home to me just what Cowdenbeath FC means to me and so many others - when Ricky Ross sang his song 'Who are the People?' - I was proud to think "I am/was one of them". See you all at Central Park in 2026/27'.

Everybody at Cowdenbeath FC would like to place on record our sincere thanks to both Craig and David for their years of hard work, dedication and service to the football club.
People often only see what happens on the pitch, but clubs like ours are built on the efforts of individuals working tirelessly behind the scenes, and both Craig and David have played a hugely important part in the story of Cowdenbeath FC over many years.
Thank you 👏💙
